Everyone eventually realizes that beer is just beer, and that drinking nicer beer from nicer people just means you could have spent that money on nicer things.

I mean, unless the nice beer you're referring to is ultra expensive. In which case you could've just got more, less expensive beer.

The US makes the best beer in the world. Even Germany (the biggest, most arrogant beer snobs on the planet) imports a fair bit. Yes, our basic table beers are fairly bland, but that is like mocking French wine because of the cheapest everyday brands (instead of mocking it for being wine, and thus a waste of good cropland that should have been used for barley and hops).

Buddy of mine makes homemade mead, and it is exquisite. Adds various fruits such as cherry and lemon.
