Hey guys, update-

Quote from: Christine O'Donnell
After that debate my team and I we were literally high fiving each other thinking that we had exposed he doesn't know the First Amendment, and then when we read the reports that said the opposite we were all like 'What?'

Just sit through the longest program bump in the world, and here it from the lady of hour herself.

Pfft, I bet a clueless blonde could beat her in a debate :P

Ah, Christine O'Donnell. Really hate that one. When the Republican Party dug up Sarah Palin (and possibly cost themselves a President) I had thought that they would have gone back to the drawing board. But no such luck, because heeeeere comes another one!  :P

I wonder if this one thinks she's an expert at foreign policy because her neighbor's Chinese or something.

The actual worded phrase "separation of church and state" doesn't appear in the Constitution, therefore it doesn't exist, two hundred years of Supreme Court precedent be damned.

That's basically all there is to it.  She's trying to say anything that will make it look like smart people and the media are beating up on her, to score sympathy and base-rousing.  It's such a subtle dance.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My favorite is when she attacks Coon for having a business producing fuel cells and simultaneously supporting cap and trade. As if fuel cells didn't already have tremendous potential for bolstering our economy and offsetting our energy needs, even disregarding global warming as a "hoax". Wat?

The is the second quote from the other thread. I strongly suggest you read it, since everyone but O'Donnell is incorrect on the matter.

Is it just me or did she not mention the 'she doesn't understand the first amendment' issue at all. It's almost that actually was a grievous mistake and her supporters are trying to forget about it as fast as possible.

Not to mention, once again, Tea Party and their supporters are such great diplomats. "idiodic university of delaware students." Nothing sways voters like calling them idiots.

As I was reading through that, I thought, "Daaamn, this person is going overboard with the whole exaggerated parody thing. I get that they're trying to make O'Donnell's supporters look like mentally handicapped children, but even for parodic entertainment this is too much."

But then I realised that it wasn't a parody. And I felt a cold chill pierce my very soul.

Ann Coulter is pretty chilling. I'm pretty blindly certain she's a troll, because that would actually be funny and the alternative makes me unconvinced of the value of the human species.

Anyway... Watching the debate, seeing her not doing any form of damage control whatsoever as the supposed "misunderstanding" occurred, I have to laugh at the people that are actually trying their best to believe she knew what she was doing, and that this is anything but lack of a basic education. Honestly, how hard is it to figure out that making a semantic argument in this context could be misunderstood as hilarious and shameful ignorance?
