I am an assassin how would I not know what a soldier is ?
Well, for one thing, just being assassin doesn't mean anything. You could have spent all your time bumping off incompetent mafiosi or police informers or something, and never met anyone in the military. As quip said, "soldier" and "assassin" are two completely different occupations.

The other main thing is that this is coming from an ex-army character who has no idea what your background is.

There's about 25 of the fuckers and the three sarge killed were at point blank range - it's got to be zombies or a bunch of really dumb terrorists with knives.

Gunther [16] Using, what else, glass, you fashion some more crappy caltrops, hopefully you dont have to piss on these...

[+.2 Assembly] [+5 Glass Caltrops]

Alex [11] You pile the meat up in the smokehouse...

Maximum [5] You lazily make more Gary-shine... so lazily that you botch up the batch and have to throw it all out...

[-4 Garry Plant]

Steven [17] You sucessfully pirouette out of the well, instantly dry yourself off, and help

Alek [14] Combined with Nick's help and good ol' competition, you manage to train up some of the patchwork civilians into good ol' basic grunt's of The Survivors Republic, and out of nowhere, they are armed to the teeth. Unluckily, that was not literal, and are only given some rifles and appropriate munitions. Oh, and before this all happened, (4) you accually do manage to kick Nick in the groin...

[-5 Civilians] [+5 Republican Grunts] [

Sally [20] Well, too bad nobody was there in the first place, otherwise you just might have gotten out... but now, your stuck wading in a slowly, very slowly, water rising pit...

--------------------

Mostly Destroyed buildings litter your immediate surroundings, everything here has been looted in the fullest. There is a foot deep layer of snow upon a foot deep layer of soot, there are spare grasses starting to grow, they are a very pale green. The Keep is very visable as a landmark from a while around. There is a trail going from one direction to the other, across the front of The Keep; There is another one coming from the south, in and out. (12) You see a Khan's Country banner rising up over the hills, not too long after, you see some old-fashioned artillery guns...

Get every able body person ready get the soldiers, and new recruits armed with rifles, and some ammo, and rush to the roof, and prepare for the coming battle. I also grab a rifle and some ammo. We get setup on the roof, and other barricades ready to open fire.

( Guys the Khans hate the dudes we are allied with get ready for a fight not train )

Deploy the caltropes around our base. The caltropes should be placed on any fields where there is a clear line of sight to the tower. That way, they can't rush across the field, else they'll have caltropes in their feet (Which would be horribly painful, and should incapacitate them.). If they try to slowly pick their way across the field, then they'll be ripped apart by rifle fire.

So many things wrong with that...

A) The tower is no more, that's what caused the hole/made the ramp out of the hole
B) They have artillery, they aren't going to charge in
C) They aren't called cal-tropes, but caltrops

A) Change it to the Keep then. Or wherever we're living.
B) Unless they have enough shells to blast the Keep to a piece of rumble, they'll eventually have to attack the building. The Keep is made out of masonry and plates. It'll take a large number of shells to reduce it to rumble. (Which they probably don't have.)
C) Noted.

You...go on ahead with that, adwarf. I, however, will lead the noncombatants to a safe place.
