One scout unit will go along the northern shore of the peninsula, and one along the souther shore, trying to get in contact with those Seapeople. They will be carrying presents worth 1 ressource each to give out to any possible ally.

4 units of my militia will march due East to grab land on the peninsula and look for a possible site for another city, but not getting to near any other city.

To the south your people find a desert and more of the mountain range. To the east you find swamplands. To the north east you find grasslands. All of these are, thusfar, unclaimed lands. To the northalong the mountain range your soldiers find the creatures with the warped faces. They send you more word of them, They are three times the size of a man, extremely strong, but live in caves and wear naught but loincloaths.

The scout to the north sends word of more eagles, but not much is know about them as they reside high in the mountains, but he does find something a little ways into them that might be a pass beyond. Your second scout trys this gap(there wasn't one when you posted but i'm letting you get away with it this time) and reports jungles beyond the mountains. Your soldiers succed in claiming much of the land uptil the halfway point between you and the other city states. Your soldier to scout the sea finds a few places to fish but not much else. You train another group of scouts

Your scouts find the bearded man-children but the creatures run into a gave and move a large stone in front of it, your scouts report a hole in the stone, likely used for seeing out of it for dangers. Your militia in the deserts and swamps find little of particular intrest though the lands are thus far unclaimed.

Your scouts to the north find nothing and return the resources as they return. Your scouts to the south however find the monsterous creatures, who while wary of you accept the gift and go back under the waters, in return they give you a weapon, which they dub a 'trident' it looks similer to your pitchforks, but seems more useful as a weapon. Your soldiers claim the lands to the east, up till the half-way point between you and 'We'

Train another batch of militia. Order them to go to the stone giants and attempt to bring them back to the city, if possible.

Send the scout and militia currently with the stone giants to meet up with the other scout in the desert and seek out this winged beast.

EDIT: Claim land at those mountains as well.

*facepalm* It is a normal name gameplaywise, it the difference is just gramatical.

((When I said the gap in the mountains, I meant that narrow spot of mountains near me, not an actual gap.))

The northern scouts explore the pass.  The other existing scout goes beyond the mountains to the north and searches the woods.  The new scout attempts to contact the eagles, hopefully in an attempt to negotiate and ally with them.  Two militia attempt to secure resources from the nearby mountains.  The final three militia stay home.

The scouts in the mountains continue to explore the mountain. The ones in the desert and swamps continue to explore farther afield, and a third militia will be sent into the grasslands nearby to explore. All three claim the lands they explore. One of the militia groups will be sent to the mountains to where the bearded men were found. One resources worth of gifts will be carried with them for the bearded men, plus a message conveying the wish to open diplomatic relations.

Edit: I think I should clarify something. The militia claim the unoccupied swamp, desert, and grasslands they explore. The scouts and militia in the mountain don't claim anything, since the dwarves are already there.

What does the Trident bring me? Does it give a bonus to my militia, or does it mean I can train trident-wielding soldiers?

Anyway, train one trident unit, send one of the scout units south to try to establish an ambassy with the Seapaople.
Send the Tridents Warrior, together with the other scout, and the units of militia outside my walls to claim more of the peninsula, stopping just short of Armok's city.
