BrainHex: What's your BrainHex Class? (Gamer Personality Test)
« on: October 03, 2010, 03:12:31 pm »

I was doing my usual reading of news, and I came across this little interesting article:

A Personality Test for Gamers

It looked pretty interesting

Quote from: Article Stub
Okay, we’ve all seen those personality tests which supposedly measure   what type of person you are, the most common one being the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, which was based on the theories of Carl Jung, and the least common one being “What type of hat are you?

It's a simple, but pretty decently done personality test, and I gotta say, my results seem to make enough sense. I sorta advise you take a Myers-Briggs Type test before taking this one, since it'll ask you what type you are (INTJ, if I remembered my old one correctly; at least, I used that when I took this one) So here's my result, what's yours?

Oh, and BTW, on the hat one, I'm a fedora; alternatively a top hat.

EDIT:
Made the test easier to access.

There isn't a category for both single player and multiplayer games :P So I chose MMORPGS.

Although I think I may go through it again since looking  at realmfighters, I should look closer at the stuff.

Pretty much what I was expecting.  I also found it interesting that when I stopped and thought about my 3 favourite games they were all radically different genres.

I tried it again and it came out seeker-conquerer (although I picked single player this time) and it came up with a no fear exception in that I don't enjoy feeling afraid. I mainly don't like horror type stuff, which is what I thought it meant. Seeker definetly fits because I do love to explore around and prefer non-linear stuff.

Personally, I think I'm more of a mix between seeker-conquerer and seeker-mastermind since I like strategy/simulation games.

I'm certainly suprised I didn't get a single exception.

Not sure how you guys get the no commitment exception, but that one does apply to me actually. I loved exploring around and doing whatever the heck I wanted to in Star Wars Galaxies.

Even so, still gotta do missions for cash when you need it.
