Well, technically we haven't traded yet (timezone discrepancies + me getting on late this morning.  ), so there's still time to beg/borrow/steal a good trade! 


Honestly, crates seem to be a buyer's market right now - everybody's getting them, and most people aren't willing/able to buy keys. It is, after all, $2.50 per key, and there's a decent chance (I think it's somewhere between 30-40%, depending on series and wiki accuracy) that you'll get a random pre-update weapon (which you already have). I'd only open one for the chance at a Vita-Saw, hat, or 'unusual hat', and frankly if I was spending (more) money on this game, I'd spend ~$5 for a hat I actually wanted instead of a ~10% chance of a hat that I might not want. 


Translation: crates are fairly common and most people are one inhibition short of giving the blasted things away. Vintage weapons are in fixed quantity and will only become more valuable as time passes. If you can trade a crate for a vintage weapon (especially a rarer one, like one of the Community weapons), do it - it's an excellent investment in the future!

I doubt I've got anything worthy of a Vita-saw. 

Let's see here... I've got a Vintage Football Helmet going cheap (Hound Dog beats it, hands down), a Vintage hatless Sniper, and scuttlebutt says I may soon be trading for a Bonk! Helm  . Also have a couple of weird-level V. KGBs, a couple of weird-level V. DRs, and a handful of other boring Vintage dupe weapons. Lastly, 3 crates. Anything sound interesting?

Depends. I'd trade my hatless Sniper for it in a heartbeat.  We'd have to 'talk' about other hats. Mostly, I just hate having a gap in my inventory, especially a potentially-useful item.
