((I like the idea of a criminal caste for our military, sending them in front of the main force to absorb arrows. Of course, they'd need some sort of reward if they survive a few battles, perhaps freedom or promotion to the standard forces.))

Oleb spoke again. "One year away from us? An interesting thought, but he would no doubt receive food from his friends and family. We have work to do other then constantly watching them, and so it would ultimately prove to be a futile gesture. Having him perform the more dangerous and lonely work, to help us all, however ... That idea has potential. Since you suggest it, would you be willing to supervise him, Ronald?

And you," he turns once more to the man, "What do you think should be done about you?"

"Fellow councilmen, I don't think we should be the ones judging him. This Council's rules is by no mean formal, just the results of our combined influences. For difficult matters such as this one, ultimate power should rest within our people as a whole. I ask that a meeting of our people take place tommorrow, and that assembly will judge. Only the village as a whole should be able to decide about blood crimes.

I also think that we should have a prosecutor and a defender. If no one else want to, I shall be this man's defender."

Turning around, Sheb order his wife to take care of the man's wound.

You know why he quit? He was bored. That's right, bored. Not even two turns in, and we were waiting for him.

Turn will be up today, probably. I'll allow someone else to join after a few more turns, depending on how everyone feels.

((I was waiting for the meeting results for my action. Since that appears to have gone nowhere, here it is.))

Oleb had an annual ritual: Every year during a full moon while the river was flooding, he would sit in one particular tree in the night, and stare at the river, silently contemplating.

Four times had the river flooded since she'd died. They'd used to sit in the tree for hours on end, just watching the river and talking.

She'd died giving birth to their second daughter, leaving him to bring the two children up alone. Jess was now six. She was growing up to be much like her mother. The hut across the street was used by a potter, and she could watch for hours on end as he sculpted.
He'd named the second one Oleb II. It was an odd name for a female, but he'd always wanted a son named after himself. She was a wild child, always behaving recklessly...

The sun was beginning to rise. He had dozed off some time during the night, apparently. He sighed and slid off the tree, their special place.

My action is to investigate the murder, and spend time preaching about how we should help each other, and that crime angers the spirits.

So to discover new technology: If we RP it, does it get easier, or doable, if we describe the invention in a plausible manner? Such as Copper:

Diakron lined the fire pit with the strange green stones, they were lighter then other stones and he had decided to bring them with him since they were easy enough to carry around and large enough to make a massive pit contain a the fire within. a few hours later he had a massive fire finished and was done making ******* when he noticed orange-brown beads forming on the rocks.

You have to find the green rocks first.
