Some do, or at least carry the 'Souls' and 'lifeforce soul' of a planet that blew up and sent this thing flying through space to land into another planet which slowly sends out these 'souls' into the world which are incorporeal and can steal the 'souls' out of living creatures of this new planet just by touching them/moving through them no matter how much armour they wear. They then take these 'souls' back to the Meteor with the 'lifeforce' inside it and feed this 'lifeforce' in a way that it just start to attempt to take over the 'lifeforce' of the planet it crashed into failing badly until some dickhead decides to blast it full of energy to destroy it but in fact empowers it which seems to speed up its growth to the point that it doesn't need to send out its own 'souls' and renews it stronger attempt to take over the other 'lifeforce', (this is getting confusing, the bad guy is red, good guy blue...) until this girl who uses her own 'blue soul' and and a minor 'red soul' trapped in her own body made by this old guy that is her teacher and then allows the 'blue lifeforce' to strengthen back against this 'red lifeforce' and win and save the world from this 'living' meteor...

Oh and Dickhead guy ends up dieing cause his Satellite Cannon thing (where he was) blows up cause he is dickhead and thought more means better which caused its powercore to self destruct...

I don't think we can build orbital defense on the planet. Also, moving our AI to a more defensible position (And make a back-up) would be cool. Now, they only need one lucky shot to decapitate everything.

Moving Athena out of orbit will require that you start setting up relay stations everywhere. Yeah, planet defense turrets can be set up in orbit around the planet or on moons orbiting the planet, but not on the planet itself. I suppose the missile base building can be set up on the planet.

Well, I don't mean moving the satellite out of orbit, but the AI. Basically build some big underground computer somewhere, and upload the AI there. To serve as a back-up.

AI = Athena. Satellite is still nameless. If you mean just make a backup Athena underground somewhere that could work.

EDIT: Upgrading DRONE FACTORY to FACTORY, it can now make everything except ships, very exotic items and very large items.
