I chose Dragonfire Inspiration to do exactly what's happening. I agree with more difficult encounters, but I think we should let Shoruke find a way to balance the fact that we do so much damage. Maybe adding more HP than the standard amount?

Well, Dragonfire Inspiration tripled my damage. That's alot.

Then again, Bards are *supposed* to boost the party.
Let's do averages!

It just trades accuracy for +50% average damage, which isn't guaranteed to be that much higher all the time. I don't see anything wrong with that.

The thing is, that it is a two-handed power attack, that can be applied to folk with rapid shot, flurry of blows, and two weapon fighting. Combine dragonfire inspiration with a two-weapon fighting dervish and things just get silly... But dragonfire inspiration almost certainly doesn't multiply on a critical hit, and it probably has an energy type, so there is lots that can mitigate it, so no great need to worry. Just don't be surprised if enemies start carrying mages with mass resist energy...

I think it was specifically mentioned as being a fire damage boost in the thing I read. Depending on your Draconic 'heritage', it can be alot of different energy types.

It also (as far as I am aware) takes actions to do (from the bard) and is a major class feature, so it makes sense to me at least that it is better then a feat. At any rate, is it a issue anyway? I mean, the most OP bard in the world is still a bard, they buff others, so there is no imbalance in the party. If the party is over power that is not really a issues because the encounters can just be made harder.

I like it when people try to get physics up in their D&D. I find it funny. (also that Ettin didn't get decapitated, it just fell over, and it landed in such a way that it's face was right in front of the spider. Still, a pretty awesome strike)

As for the Bard Fight, go for level 13. Prestige classes are allowed, but you may not take any basic class besides Bard. Entries will be measured in two ways: ridiculousness, and overpoweredness. Most ridiculous and/or overpowered bard wins, GO!

Dashing Swordsman is evil :P Char instead of Str for attacks = Bards are now officially fighters. Or at least fighters-with-no-bonus-feats.

Also, for said bard fight, no homebrew, using RAW. Because homebrew is subjective and I could homebrew a prestige class with an ability that basically says 'you win'.

Homebrew is generally either terrible or horrendously overpowered.

Overpowered would be a bard with early entry shenanigans for Bard 3/Ur Priest 10. Why yes that was a ninth level spell slot I just used.
