Invasion slayer takes away the whole point of Invasion.

Elite slayer is just gay in general since nobody does anything but noob combo/sticky nade

Erm, noob combo?

Halo has a noob combo?

Yes, it usually involves gifting the enemies shields with a lavish gift called Plasma, and then giving the enemies themselves the currency of the battlefield, bullets. Normally that currency is not wasted, but a noob combo requires showering the enemy with your lavish gifts.

Basically, plasma pistol overcharge + melee/needle rifle headshot/3 needles for big pink boom = noob combo.

And that's what everyone fucking does.  It got to the point where I'd just cloak up and assassinate people who walked past.

So, hang on a second here.
Because they're using two different weapon types against two different health bars because they're both only really effective against one, its nooby?

I'm sorry, that just sounds silly. Why the hell wouldn't they?

Yeah I don't know how that's nooby, but I like doing things the hard way, and I have different combat styles than other players.

Personally, I only care about 3 things.
Precision, Rate of Fire, and Stopping Power.
If it has good Stopping Power, it's good.
Good precision, it's good.
Good RoF, it's good.
If it lacks those, it's shit.

And plasma weapons pretty much lack all 3 of those characteristics.

I personally consider it "nooby" because it's too easy.  Not that I don't do it myself in Elite Slayer, I still want to win, it's just kind of stupid at times.

Extremely useful for campaign on legendary though

Eh, I know many people who can't hit someone with a plasma pistol shot for shit.

I do like how the sniper rifle in this one can take down a banshee in about 4-5 shots.

I do wish it had the ability to kill the pilot in one if you hit the right spot, kinda like how Linda snipes Banshees in the First Strike novel

I'm pretty sure you can actually. There's a tiny tiny gap where you can see the pilots head isn't there?

Eh, fail.

I suppose you'd have to settle for 2 shots then.

I haven't tested it in Reach, but in Halo 2/3 shooting there still doesn't take down the shields in one shot like you'd expect

In reach shooting people out of vehicles is criminally easy. If you can line up a shot with a part of them that sticks out, it does the damage it'd normally do.

So now warthogs really do need good drivers or the gunner is going to get owned real quick.

Heh. Any halfway decent sniper or DMR-user can get a gunner out of his hog.

Damn thing needs some armor around the gunner.

In Halo, there is only one weapon so powerful that no player is allowed to use it, and it is this:
