Make a supersized Silicoid, if it has the hyperheated core, and if it doesn't, make a very elastic ship with ~10 of them.

Build a GIANT LAZOR on JETHRO, except the final focusing mirror which is in orbit so that the blast isn't diffused to much. Blast those spheres with a ridiculous amount of power.

So, what will we do in the meantime? Also, JOSHUA is 64 light minutes from JETHRO. Just so you know.

yea. You'd have to fire the beam, have it decently wide, and then trick the spheres into being where it's going to strike.

It still moves at the speed of light, so it's still no more possible to see it coming than at point blanc range.

Let's create an enormous, photosynthetic net around the star to transform energy into a super-weapon of epic proportions.

Argonnek why must your ideas always be amusing, and do worthy?

Sadly, they are not possible currently, but someday...

Turning Joshua into a star would require many times more mass than you could get from Hephaestus, especially once it disperses from losing its gravity.

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

Who said anything about turning JOSHUA into a star?

You decide that the only way to eliminate the spheres would be to turn JOSHUA into a star. You start pumping hydrogen into it from HEPHAESTUS while scouting out some asteroids to chuck into it.

Alright.  What about slinging Joshua's planets into its core?  Doing the whole 2010 thing (given the year!) seems rather appropriate!

Also - Yesss, Dyson Sphere!

Turning Joshua into a star would require many times more mass than you could get from Hephaestus, especially once it disperses from losing its gravity.

That's why we were going to chuck asteroids and anything else we could find into it. The connection between HEPHAESTUS and JOSHUA was already in place, making it the most convenient.

Asteroids seem nice, but the moons... Those are where the money's at.
And by money, I mean killing things.

Something tells me two stars in such close proximity would be bad. Namely ripping Jethro in half.
