evolving the SPECIES. this would be detailed morphological-only control each individual has, that is not inherited and does not cost evolution points.

Let's just improve the toxicity of our poison, since no one has any other ideas, probably not until I post this anyway...

You improve the toxicity of your poison, despite it working perfectly fine before.

Fungus 2.1:

Specialized cells:
Body cells: Lean, Grippy
Poison cells: Reproductive Poison
Green cells: Great Chloroplasts (+2.0 food a turn)
Neurons: Good Connections
Chemical Neurons: Terrible reactions
Sensory nerves: Has tiny hairs that allows you to (barely) hear.
Fat cells: Stores food.
CONTROL CELLS: Terrible control. 'Kinda control where they go!' mode only. No way to communicate with infected.

Organs:
Brain: Bit bigger.
Chemical brain: Currently, not as good as your old one.
Poison tentacles: Made out of poison cells. Poisons everything they touch. Seriously guys.
Leaves: Made out of green cells. Helps to hold food. Helps to see. (Additional +1.0 food a turn)
Hyphae: Anchors yourself to the seafloor. Very fine, helping you to anchor to the seafloor.
Roots: Further anchors yourself to the seafloor. Supplies nutrients to help survival.

Well, were immobile, shouldn't you just go on until the next event or something?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Oh, what's this? You seem to be growing on top of a jawless fish. Sweet. You can kinda control were it goes, though it stretches the limit of both your brains. Meh. Were to first?

Have it swim around the left making meals out of everything you capture. Begin spreading your roots through the body of the fish trying not to kill it.

We just became the fungus we planted on the fish earlier.

Grow roots into the digestive system of the fish and leach off of it.  Don't take everything though.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.
