I just beat OoT.
And I'm happy.

Just thought this was needed.

I thought it was an epic game.

For some reason, I've always been offended by the N64 Zelda games.  I guess it's a mix of "blarrgh my old 2d console games are better" and "well everyone else likes them so they must be bad" hipsterism.

I really need to actually play them sometime.  They must actually be great.  :/  It's just that the first few hours really don't seem like it...

Psh... The water temple was a pushover. I beat both the original and Master Quest on the Gamecube combo disk.

I think the people working on the Boss fight wanted more scene power than actual fighting. Personally I found it kind of anti-climactic.

Now all you have to do is find every single skulltula and every heart piece.

The final boss was actually really fun for me. The hardest part when I was playing it was just

So I take it I'm the only one who actually likes the various Water Temples?

I liked the water temple, I just found it probably the most challenging.

I finished with 13 hearts, with the double health upgrade, double magic, and about 16 gold skullatas.

I ran out of magic at the final boss, even after smashing the pillar, so I decided to use hookshot. 

Same thing at Bongo bongo or w/e in the shadow temple. I ran out of arrows and used hookshot.
The shadow temple also gave me the creeps...
I think it was the lack of music.

Did you try the Ice Temple in Majoras Mask?
This thing was a goddamn maze.
It took me ages to figure it out.

I too beat OOT and majora's mask not long ago, though I did it using an emulator.

I must say, I loved them both, and they are incredible gems (though MM only really got epic in the final quater of the game I found).

Heh, that one was fun.
I remember it fondly.

Nothing like turning the whole world upside down, so you can do some platforming

I planned to give them another try in a month or two.
Just to see how well the gameplay has aged and live through those epic childhood memories again.
