you dont need a reagent tag at all if you're "summoning" something.

No. Not even animals will eat sentients(or at least not until their hungry, Im not sure)

Yes. Just press x. Dont bother turning the fortress mode reactions on though, as long as they have a nessesary structure they wont work(also their weird and wont work right anyway).

I pressed x. I know how to use butcher and knap, but there's no option for shitting showing up. And I placed the reaction in Reaction - other.

Also, sharp stones are a pain to make, but as throwing weapons, they're decent. The one I threw ripped through leather armor.

And I butchered a lion. Now I have the heart of a lion with me.

Miko: I'm sure something will happen in the future that lest you butcher things. Dunno what yet.

That's strange. It should be in the create menu. You must have put it in wrong...?
