By balloon do you mean the traitor balloon which uses all their syndicate uplink juice?  :P
They are pretty much my favourite thing because they're just about sticking a huge middle finger up at station heads of staff and security in an OOC sense.

Taterloons really test barriers of meta on BS12.

In case of heavy meta, you can always just leave it lying around and have the next sod who picks it up be arrested for flimsy reasons.

Last time I bought a traitor balloon, another traitor picked it up and got searched. Turns out he murdered all the other traitors and stole their gear. Several E-Mags, Revolvers, the works. The entire time I was running around trying to find him and murder him, being my target, but security already took care of him.

I just tried this game yesterday, so I had provided a fair bit of Fun to the rest of the crew at BS12 (Like Darvi here :P). First I was a dumbass and forgot an air tank for mining, so I forced an airlock open. This might or might not have been what caused the modified AI to evac the station, no idea what the fifth law was.

Then, on another go, I played as the chemist and accidentally ate a lethal dose of chloral hydrate. Good thing the chemists' lab is in the medbay.

This game is basically what Dwarf Fortress IN SPACE! would be if you controlled a single dwarf worker and, if you're a noob like me, the usual result is a lot of !!FUN!!. Not even counting the Virologist and the hijinks one can take part in if you are clueless first-timer.

Fifth law was something to the effect of "The station is in danger, you must evacuate it immediately. Do not tell anybody about this law"
There was probably also something in there that made the AI attack people who tried to remove said law, but seriously, I wasn't really trying.

I am confused, why would a traitor want to evac the station?

Mission accomplished -> GTFOH

And as I said, trial. Yawn. Did everybody a favour.

Gotta admit, it was a better idea than summoning Lord Singuloth.

No one really likes a powergaming traitor.
Well, except for maybe the people on Gibbed.

Define taking out the station. Unless you did something relatively minor (when compared to complete) I'm guessing that they banned you for that.

I just had a great round on Gibbed.
All the slots were taken, so I signed up as a staff assistant. Rumors of aliens and UFO sightings were present. There was a martian bomb at hydroponics and I saw a flying saucer at genetics.
The detective attempted to tell everyone that there were in fact no aliens, and everyone attempted to attack her thinking she was an electric alien wizard.
A traitor attacked and spaced me, and as a ghost I saw that the cargo shuttle arrived. But there were no crates, oh no, there were a lot of martian invaders, who killed a few people.
Even later, the emergency shuttle arrived. This is what it looked like:

Are you sure it was the /tg server?

Traitors can do anything they please (short of forced ERP)
Murderboners are a common thing, although if you do them a lot you'll recieve a mixture of awe and disdain from the playerbase

Oh gog the ERP. I have even been branded a villain for disapproving of the ERP on BS12.

Mass murder which is totally beyond any possible logic regarding your objectives violates the don't be a dick rule. Mass murder can certainly be justified in terms of getting the shuttle called or staying alive. I'm guessing that his actions were just extremely dickish.
