As a Drama major, I would argue that creativity is vitally important for our youth. It keeps the brain juices flowing, it allows people to make decisions, it is the reason for doing all the work and living in the first place.

Except that is not what the school system in general supports.  'Creativity' is also one of the first things on the chopping block in schools if I remember correctly...

The Nazi's did a lot of good things and did a lot of things very well. However, the mass killing of Jews and Gypsies and such wasn't really necessary.

Excuse me? I live in Aus, and an inefficient and slightly overbearing government does not a Orwellian regime make. Britain is closer to that than us and even then, the only country that's really in danger of heading there is already there is North Korea.

All the racism here is geared towards Aborigines, which is really sad because a large percentage of them still live in terrible conditions.

The racism here is actually towards mexicans, but everyone is utterly terrified of insulting blacks. *ahem* African-Americans. At least, everyone on TV. In RL, black jokes can now be told around black folks by white guys and still be funny. It's actually pretty good. If only the media wasn't so stuck up about it.

Generally, in the racist joke world:

So yeah. Not all that funny, but some people still laugh at them, including the people who most would expect to be offended. That's what I was reffering to as good. The fact that racism has been reduced to tired old jokes that aren't even offensive any more.

Eh, I don't see how Britain is, to be honest.  A few privately owned CCTV cameras with footage that is almost never watched doesn't really constitute any kind of Orwellian regime.

Eh, I don't see how Britain is, to be honest.  A few privately owned CCTV cameras with footage that is almost never watched doesn't really constitute any kind of Orwellian regime.
