I'm sorry. It was hard enough to get myself to update with every player active. With just under half of them not playing ... If Wolfchild and Abcullater post their turns, or if somebody finds replacements, I'll continue it. Cheddarius is too powerful to be given to a new player - If he does not return, his faction will be controlled by me until it completely annexes Krigg, at which point it will "focus on defense," at which point it may no longer be attacked. For simplicity's sake.

Well, you could just do the 'build up defences and save technology' thing until people respond. I don't really see how having a new person in Cheddar's spot would be worse than having Cheddar in Cheddar's spot, though it would be an odd introduction for someone. Non-responsive players could just have their empires removed by the massive nuclear retaliation of the rebels aboard the mothership.

Or we could start a new game with new rules, I for one would like to see industry and technology research slowed down, maybe start with 2 points per terrain unit and have the research only add .5 of a point per terrain unit...

Or everyone could be moved to to the same planet, which could be made a mite larger, I wouldn't mind giving up a relative number of my cities to host someone from Krigg...

Oh I would like a fresh start... That would be interesting now that we know what to do...

Maybe you could just divide the cities of the empires that don't have moves between the empires that do have moves...
Or just have them do absolutely nothing and accrue resources. Having a mess of points built up might make someone want too take another turn, and if they don't come back then their lack of unit production will make them an easy target for foreign powers, or they could just build turrets...

Too many players have dropped. Combined with the time I let it idle for, I don't think continuing would work well, sorry.

I'll do a smaller scale remake though, without the space stuff. It will likely be with six players.

The question is, which planet type is preferred? Siren-like with water, or Krigg-like without water?

Balance changes:
Shields will be available at the start of the game
Industry and Science technologies will only increase stuff by .5x/level, rather then 1x/level.
Colonizers will not be transportable by air. It does strange things to early balance.

Now to spoil the plot stuff I didn't get to bring in normally.

Cool!

I would probably go for a planet with water. It gives you options for avoiding the fighting...

Darn, I was looking forward to the space section. Maybe you could just limit it to a planet and it's two moons? (and a very small amount of space around them)

Very well, I'll add the options. Consider it as voting for space/no space and water/no water: If space gets 3/2, but no space gets 1/4, we'd go with space and the second planet option.

All players would start out on the same planet, and space would cost 150 RP.

Only votes in the poll itself will be counted.

I'm glad to see this come back to life. Again, I'm very sorry for leaving at such an inopportune time.

Siren with space!

Perhaps the ability of planes to move in space should be curtailed. Maybe 3 or 6 points of movement to move one hex in space for aircraft? 2/4 for missiles?

Oh yeah that sounds like a good idea with the Planet and the Moon, but perhaps make the planet a little larger. I mean like have the size you currently use as the MOON size while the planet is a lot more bigger...

Don't you mean the two moons? Personally think there should be two moons. Just seems appropriate some how.
