So 'twould seem.

I wanted one without captions, but I couldn't find it well. Well, I *could* have, I just couldn't be bothered to.

Says it all really, right?

That can't be true. It's just too much.

This chart applies to Russia as well with one major difference - same numbers, but not US dollars - roubles. Starting from 17000 roubles and up as it goes. You can google for exchange course, I presume.

No, sadly those numbers look accurate to me.
And if all goes according to plan, then those fooseball jocks will go on to make even more money than the college coaches.

Which is obscene.

That's probably one of the many reasons why, generally speaking, and making a wildly over generalization if I'm allowed, the average murican can't find his own God darn country in a globe map.

Not that my country is a lighting beacon of intellectuality (sadly is quite the opposite).

I'm not sure anything about our football institutions is healthy.

First you have universities allocating those absurd budgets to a non-academic pursuit, with the justification that it raises interest in the school.  As if schools need to spend that much money to advertise.  And college sports generally do cost money, net, especially considering the initial investments.

Then you have the college athletes themselves.  Expected to train constantly, represent the school, and sell tickets.  A lot of pressure, and then they're basically told they don't have to worry about classes.  They'll get passed, whatever it takes.  People who manage to legitimately pursue their education under those circumstances are truly amazing.

And then if they make it to professional football, the stakes are just even higher...  Of course there's cheating.  There's also a strong possibility of repetitive brain injury, but there's no money in investigating *that*.  I only know because of a relative who works with victims of it.

Yeah all in all, American football is probably as terrible as actual football :P

To begin with, it's hardly ever football, as they barely touch the thing with their feet, as opposed in real football (what you know as soccer). In fact is not even a ball, it's a freaking oval, and is manipulated 99,99% of the time through the use of the hands, hence it should be named handoval!

We've got rugby. It's just that only like two people play it. The rest of the teams are filled out by those bucket-mop manikins glued to tiny wagons and strapped to the living players with ropes.

New kid in advisory
all she does is complain about how she has to work and go to school and how her parents don't buy her anything

now I have no room to speak in this conversation and never talk but there are kids in this advisory that are the bread winners for their family, by that I mean these kids are the only source of income from work in their family and she is complaining about how she has to buy the things she wants with money she makes

hmmm so you are being a normal productive human? why the complaining?
But like I said, I have no room to speak in this conversation but that doesn't mean it can't annoy me
