We got two jugs of that 'liquid ice thinner' stuff. It's expensive, but then again, the amount of table salt that would be needed to clean even a small area would be insane.

Ice. Always ice. And no store in town has salt, because they're all sold out.

Additionally, my mother is pissed at me.
No...salt? Do you live in Cameroon or something?

I remember when our country ran out of road salt in the winter, so they then had the glorious idea to just pour pure grit over the roads, which then washed into all the sewer systems, blocking everything.

Every year, it snows, and EVERY YEAR, the government is surprised. "Oh, we loaned all our snowmobiles to france for their snowmobile derby! Now there's endless snowstorms and your flight is cancelled! Fuck youuu!"

@BlackFlyme
Yeah, I was mostly just wondering if people surprised at the lack of salt were confusing table salt with what you were looking for.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Here in Glorious Mother Russia, grit is pretty much what we used until just a few years ago. Our drains are tougher than your capitalist ones, though.

Surprised you guys use anything. I thought russians thrived on a diet of snow, ice and vodka?

No, no, snow, ice, and vodka is how you breed Russians. Once they've finished coagulating they need food and suchlike just like any other human-like entity and they stop being able to consume meaningful amounts of snow and ice. Still have to maintain a certain ratio of their body volume as vodka, though. I think the last study said it was some sort of alcohol based natural anti-freeze system? Biology goes strange places.

We need to breed the Russians and Cubans together so that we can have timed molotov bomb-people.

I already have a mechanic to represent risk-taking and narrative awesomeness. Thank you guys for giving me the idea of tying it to character development. I'm going to gratuitously rip this off, now.

Why is it that I only just got my first chance to sit down and relax now? It's the first time today and it isn't even today any more. It's after midnight where I'm at.
