It's only after spending time with your best friends that you become hyper sensitive to their flaws.

One of my friends that I went to the beach with knows jack shit about politics. However, this does not mean he tries to stay away from political, and frankly any hot button, topics.

I.E.

#1: "...The George Zimmerman case is still on the defense's side, prosecution hasn't had a chance to take the floor yet"

Me: "Eh, if anything the prosecution can turn the case into a hate crime case to get an instant win"

Friend: "It's always a civil rights case. I mean like, I have no idea why people are so biased towards black people"

I'm talking with this guy, he grew up with my mom and they were best friends and all that stuff. Anyway, this is only the second time I've seen him since I was knee high. We start talking about kids, he says "I bet you're looking forward to having a few" I explain that not only am I not, I have no intention of having kids as I'd be a horrible parent. He goes into how I'm a great guy and how if I've never killed anyone and haven't been to prison and haven't lost my bits in an accident where's the problem. Somewhere along the way he said that if I was gay they'd have to get me rewired. I was too shocked to say anything. I'm not gay but.. what? Seriously? It's not enough that he's giving unsolicited advice about my dating life(granted some of it was good advice) But forcibly "curing" homosexuality? What is this, the 1950s?

Okay, I'm fairly sure that my hard drive is on the way out. My issues previously discussed have not gone away (with the possible exception of insane data rates), and I'm starting to have boot issues where the computer either crashes during a boot (or, at least, is appearing to) or fails to recognize the boot sector entirely until it goes through its startup repair.

Glad I have the time to get everything backed up to an external and get a new one. Hell, this one probably should be replaced anyways even if it wasn't dying on me, it's got to be at least 3 or 4 years old, and probably more than that.

O'Mara and Don broke the back of the prosecution before they even started their defense and Bao, the coroner who was one of the witnesses called by the prosecution not only undid the prosecution's arguments, but he also may have been reading from 'notes' given to him without the defense's acknowledgement. He was quite vocal about his notes being taken away.

It was unlikely that we'd see a conviction in any case, given that the jury members were all white and hispanic, in a racially-charged case. Maybe I'm just too cynical, but I never saw much hope of Zimmerman going down. This is just too reminiscent of last-century cases for me to not expect the worst.

Just spilled my drink all over the floor and my shirt because my door was being kept half-open by a pillow that I forgot was there. I bumped into the door and was promptly bashed back. Now I am shirtless because I had to use it as a rag.
