I was going to draw a comparison to WoT as well. Hopefully GRRM lives long enough to finish his series.

Does he have a son and/or friend? We could have another 7th dune book if he dies before he's done.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Huh, Tolkien had some posthumous publishing as well. What is it about epic fantasy that kills its authors off?

Lol, i think being born in 1892, and it being 1973 is what killed Tolkien ^^

Hell, he became a college professor in 1925

Frank Herbert died at 66 years old, too, he had a good innings.

It's not just a slightly different world from ours, it's an entirely new world. You get to make all the rules, all the history, everything about it. That could easily be a life's work.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

And yet a very entertaining story to tell for the rest of his life.

Hell, his children would be talking about the time their dad got hit in the face with bull nuts.

Greatorder's tenuous grasp of euphemisms strikes again!

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Note that we still love you greatorder, and while it would be shameful amongst any other company, this one does not think so.
