I've been having a circular argument with myself all day whether to start working on a new forum game. The argument is as follows:

  • This game is going to be so awesome if I do it correctly.
  • I could do this half-assed with text and my crappy pencil drawings, but then I wouldn't be implementing this idea the way it deserves to be.
  • If I'm going to make this correctly, I'm going to have to lots of pixel art. Lots of pixel art.
  • I don't think that I have the skill to do the art quickly enough or nice enough (quickly enough being defined as the length of time until I grow bored of the project).
  • But... [Goto 1].

Admittedly said argument is kinda tame, but after repeating it for twenty times or more it starts to piss you off, and I just know that it's going to be bouncing around in my head for the rest of the day.
GOTO = RAEG. Bad programmer.
There's actually nothing wrong with GOTO if used correctly. In fact, sometimes people write worse code avoiding a goto statement than they would have had they just used one.

I occasionally use them in switch statements (that's what the various cases are anyway). Then again switch statements are things you're "supposed" to avoid too.

Avoiding gotos in assembly is flat out impossible. A simple if/else statement requires at least one goto equivalent to function properly.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

ALWAYS PICK THE CUSTOM INSTALL THAT MAY OR MAYNOT BE IN ALL CAPS. TYPICAL DOESN'T DO MUCH BESIDES ADD ALL THE THINGS.

Firefox doesn't come with a yahoo toolbar if you downloaded the actual firefox, afaik. Where did you download it? Hopefully not CNET(download.com).

So much this. Our network looks like swiss cheese thanks to all the outages in the DC/MD/northern VA region.

It's a really weird feeling when you suddenly realize, maybe you were happier when someone was missing than when they come back.
