Hmm, 'picks books because she likes them', has the possible implication of a bigot who is is certain that their taste in books in better then others, and the only reason that the class would not enjoy such books is because "they are just dumb kids who don't know a good book when it hits them in the for head". Although I could be mistaken, but I have had more then one English teacher like that.

I never had a good English teacher, hated them all with a passion.

Do note: every single book has been in Oprah's Book Club.
All of them.

Meanwhile, watched that basketball thing.
What.

Gah! I do not envy you. I just hope you can go the year sanity intact.

Fun fact: The earth only appears to be millions of years old because god made it that way as a test of faith! Let's face it, if you make a force all powerful, you can use it to negate any point, argument or observation, and zealots will think themselves 'smart' and 'wise' for doing this, despite the fact that it proves nothing.
Fun fact: You can use this the opposite way to get zealots to accept evolution. Just say that God set up the system and nudged it every so often towards a certain result.

While that thought has crossed my mind in the past, I'm left to wonder if it has ever worked. Some of them arn't so suggestiable as to beleive just anything in the name of god.

And some of them are. It's kind of a crapshoot, and I don't try it that often.

It's okay, we're reading Shakespeare now (Othello).
I can always do Shakespeare and Othello's one of my favourites.

This pisses me off to no end.

Ignoring the video this time, talking just about the dude, I'm diggin' this guy's stuff.

Proving that a system is correct by using the system is circular logic, and my Calculus teacher would have smacked her with a textbook if he'd been there, I'm sure. If nothing else, he knows how to debate. Proofs are his (infuriatingly fortissimo) forte.

But that's assuming that there is a god, and the logic makes no sense if you don't believe in a god. I just can't bring myself to convince someone of something using an argument that I myself wouldn't be convinced by.

He seems very charismatic, and I never trust people who speak well, it seems unnatural  :P. But still, he's views don't seem very radical, and it looks like he tries to get informed, so a good channel I guess.

And my personal favourite will always be A midsummer night's dream, too many good memoires there.

Charisma doesn't really factor into things for me.
But I do love people who get things right.
Part of why I can't stand MSNBC or FOX.

My favourite favourite would definitely be Macbeth.
Midsummer Night's Dream second, followed by Othello.

Wow. I was afraid people might rage at Lee Doren being linked. Anyway, yeah. Dig away.

I can't say the news over here in Australia is very rage inspiring. From what I have seen both the ABC and TEN and slightly in favour of the greens, but it only comes out in a few specific shows, and I have never seen it in the news. I wish we had interesting news here, like FOX...

Look on the bright side, you're not as stupid as the people who agree with what they say.

Nah, it's cool, I'm moderate.
Besides, I've been looking for a decent conservative opinion.
It's the duty of an educated populus to observe both sides of an argument in order to form a true opinion.

Too much dichotomy going around these days.
