My point is, Winter most likely does care about Celsius.

Winter just cares about the warmth inside you it's going to suck into the aether. I'm pretty sure it's amused at our attempts to quantify how evil it is and little else.

Cold is too busy sucking out potential energy to feel such frivolities as "amusement". I love it for few reasons beyond the fact its existence makes my own existence's insistence on generating heat as a massive Fuck You to reality that much more evident. I feel your return to the state of nature, cold, and I burn with the long fire of defiance.

I'm endothermic, whorespawn! Suck it!

That's why you should use Celsius. It's a system that makes sense!

I think you must be thinking of either Kelvin or Rankine. Those are the only two temperature scales that make sense.

I fail to see how, considering it has a coarser degree of accuracy (100 degrees in a spectrum where Fahrenheit provides 180 degrees).

Admittedly, Celsius does a better job on the low end of conveying just how fucking cold I *think* it is. But 40 degrees being hot? Seriously?

Rankine is the best. It combines the precision of the Fahrenheit scale with the scientific sensibility of the Kelvin scale

You know, I don't see how Fahrenheit is any more precise than Celsius. I mean, it does have 180 notches between freezing and boiling instead of 100, but decimals are a thing that exists. Really, it's your equipment that's going to limit the precision of your measurement, not what system you're using.

... the thought of it being 20.2 degrees outside makes me want to stab someone in the eyeballs. If you're using decimals in casual conversation, something has probably gone terribly wrong.

I use decimals to talk about the temperature outside all the time.

Though let us be honest here. If you're talking about the temperature casually you probably don't care a lot about precision anyways. So using Celsius or Fahrenheit doesn't make a difference in a causal setting. As long as people use the same system it'll be fine.
