Yeah, I managed to get preloading running. It'll take seven hours; but then I thought the game was supposed to be 20 Gig? Did they trim the fat, or are the other four gigabytes coming later?

They don't offer preloading, but in fact they dont show any schedule for the release at all. Whats common? Midnight, noon, late night tomorrow?

It wasn't guessed that it was 20 GB, that's what they had posted on the steam store page.

I'm guessing they send you the code to register on Steam which you then use to download from Steam.

Sega uses Steam regardless if you buy the game in a box or not. You must register the game with Steam, or so I have been told by my friend who works at Sega, AND HE IS GIVING ME A CODE BECAUSE I AM AWESOME.

So, yeah, it's a Steamworks game. It's not just used for multiplayer, no, so you'll need a Steam account regardless of whether online play is your thing.

Preloading now, it says it'll take about 2 hours. Which means it will be ready well before the release time so I'm happy! So are the DFC/DFP steam groups going to be total warring each other at release? I wouldn't mind playing a few multiplayer games against you guys.
