Does neither he nor Michael Bay get it? It's not about "crazy action scenes" or "human issues", it's about the god damn Transformers. THAT'S THE TITLE OF THE SERIES.

There's no interaction between the robots, and instead it's about Shia LeBeouf and his oh-so-embarrassing mother and URGH.

God damn it. Michael Bay is a talentless hack that crushes the heart of movies he lays his hands on.

Same philosophy that has the Sherlock Holmes trailer devoting half of its time to a guy talking about how "interactive" the explosion is. In Sherlock Holmes. Philistines.

PS: I watched a black and white sherlock holmes movie, it was pretty good.

I have to say, that explosion was pretty good. Although,

I read nigh all of the Sherlock Holmes books in my younger days.

Not enough explosions.

Giant Robots punch each other, and then explode.

I ask for nothing more out of a Transformers movie. Except possibly a short scene at the end where Optimus Prime tells us all how awesome Humans are despite the fact that their one role in the movie was to die in large numbers.

You know what I would like from the Transformers? To be more blocky. All their fight scenes basically amount to rolling two piles of scrap metal down a hill with explosives set within the mass to go off randomly. Also half of the scrap is still half-functional, so you see things spinning and whirring and moving without any discernible reason. You can't tell who is who unless you see their eyes, the Autobots having blue eyes and Decepticons having red.
Return it to the old days when limbs were basically large rectangles. Sure it may not look as good in CG, but at least we can actually root for the good guys.

There are no Transformers outside of the toys and the cartoon.
That is all.
Good night.

I daresay I recall some pretty awful cartoons, don't make me look for them.  :P

And here I thought the movies were about the amazing digital and animatronic effects that went into creating Megan Foxx.

Michael Bay's movies are about explosions.

Which is fine for me; a good brainless explosion is a fun way to waste a few hours every now and then. I'd probably go insane if every single movie was a masterpiece of literature.

You just need to remember that if Michael Bay did it, then it's all about the explosions.

Hehe. I remember when they were about telling stories.

Stories just get in the way of the explosions! Every line of dialogue is just another frame of film without an explosion!

Michael Bay's movies are about explosions.

But his films aren't even good within the context of films about explosions. The only thing Michael Bay does well is masterfully segueing between shots of two dogs humping to a shot of a robot farting. He is an artist, and that is his craft.

I've always been impressed with Bay's explosions. They're just so big and explodey.
