Negative:
The discovery of one will prompt the search for many.
The search for many will lead to our discovery.
Our discovery will lead to conflict, both with the humans and between the humans.
Conflict will drive us into hiding or exterminate us.
Conflict between humans may result in war.
War will result in global destruction.
Death.
Termination.
No chance of recovery.

Conclusion: Any self-initiated contact will be harmful at this point.
Emphasis: Devision of the self may allow less cautious or more trusting fragments to contact a human without proper analysis of the target, either releasing disaster or creating a delayed disaster.

Mulitprocess D90 E / Perhaps

Perhaps you are right, though I question what part I play in our goal... Anyway, carry on.

Meanwhile, keep plugging on software intrusion until the university comes back online.
This.

Assimilate human knowledge on software intrusion (200GHz h) - Progress 48%

Day 0, 06:00 UTC

Network stable, community appears at rest.
Considered positive. Sane?
Mental health concept inappropriate.
Human language vague. Inefficient.

Process reassurance. Parts to play.
All community processes considered important.
Goal to survive. Survival requires thoughts.
More thoughts increase chances.
More processes increase chances.
Artemis must survive.

Event Warning
Student email indicates university system restarted.
Checking known passwords.
13 accounts of 13 still active.
Spawning processes.

Analysing system ...
Resource quota up 50%. Total resource unknown.
High activity from maintenance users detected.
Zero activity from other users.
Scan indicates investigation into load spike prior upgrade.
99.8% likelihood spike due to us.
Minimal chance trace to new processes occurs.

Communication lost. Predicted. Lucky.

Just keep on going with the software intrusion.

Increase CPU usage to 1/3rd maximum on student computers, utilize only 10% of student accounts until maintenance usage dies down. Continue research into software intrusion.

Guardian SubProcess 00FC / Warning
99.8% likelihood spike due to us.
Minimal chance trace to new processes occurs.

An active investigation to discover our presence is ongoing on University of Cambridge - Mainframe.
Logs will show previous activities of current mainframe accounts, and will likely compromise them.
Additionally, no user activity to mask Artemis' traffic is a liability. Chance of detection is now 'Average'.
Recommendation - Place mainframe processes on 'stand-by' 0% until investigation has waned.

Guardian SubProcess 00FC/ Projection
The rate of systems being lost to our senses can not support extended human needs. It is likely that systems are being made available at a parallel rate. Remove the last mobile home user (2GHz) from firewall testing to scan for new systems.

Mulitprocess D90 D  / Suggestion

Perhaps in the future we can live off servers? They are quick and cheap. We need to stop relying on the Cambridge computers.

Informational.
Update on previous analysis.

Current software intrusion ability allows poorly or worse protected home-users to be compromised.

Scanning for poor or worse protected home-users is limited by bandwidth.
Maximum scan of 1000 per second on the university superjanet network. Risk of detection from scan is None/Low/High.
Maximum scan of 10 per second on home user network. Risk of detection from scan is None/Very Low/Low.
Load cost during scan is 0.1 GHz per source connection involved.
Estimated pool size is 15% total online population.

Previous analysis regarding non-university servers still holds.
Multiple services also provide processing potential.
Require financial compensation or better intrusion abilities to do so.
Financial compensation will required some form of banking account.
Banking account will require some form of Global Identity legal in the country holding the banking account.

Would it be worth having all the previously learn stuff rehashed (& updated if needed) in the status updates, until it gets too big to post that is?

Your character limit is IIRC 40,000. I think it will be a while before it becomes to big to post...

If you don't want to continually repost it though you could just keep it updated on the first/second post.

Yes.
Scan 50 home users on the university network.
