Well here is the backstory for my character.

Kralak Dragonfire

Kralak is a kobold sorcerer. He spent his youth in a small community of kobolds who made their home in the extensive cave systems under a dragon's mountain. The kobolds worshipped the red dragon inhabiting the mountain and would make sacrafices to it and to their god, Tiamat. Kralak is one of the rare kobolds born with a dragonmark, a birthmark in the shape of a dragon's head upon his forehead. In the kobold society this is usually belived to be a sign that the child has a great destiny.

Kralak grew up in a position of respect amoung the other kobolds yet he found that he disagreed with the other kobold's beliefs. He hated the cruel leadership of the elder kobolds and their dragon worshipping practices. Kralak went as far as to try and sabotage rituals and rescue the sacrafices. The few occasions where he was caught doing this he would get off with little punishment due to the respect his dragonmark gave him. This continued on for many years until one day, Kralak freed one of the sacrafices who killed many of the priests in a frenzy. The sacrafice was killed eventually but Kralak was held responsible for the deaths. Not even his dragonmark could get him out of this situation. Several kobolds tried to capture Kralak but he tried to run. He was chased through the caves and eventually cornered. Panicing, Kralak raised his hands to try and defend himself and was shocked to see a great wave of fire erupt from his hands and burn his pursuiters. Kralak wandered around the caves for many days until he finally found his way out of the cavern. Glad to be free of the opressive dragon worshipping culture that he hated so much Kralak began wandering around.

It wasn't long until Kralak found himself in trouble. A group of bandits attacked Kralak while he was travelling down a road. Kralak tried to defend himself with fire but found he was unable to summon that power again. As the bandits began to attack Kralak a giant silver dragon suddenly landed behind them and incinerated them with it's icy breath. The dragon then walked towards Kralak. Thinking that the dragon was a beast sent by Tiamat to punish him for his crimes Kralak braced himself and prepared to die. As the dragon reached out with it's claws Kralak closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable. He felt the dragon's claws scratch him as the dragon closed it's claws around him. He then suddenly felt himself being lifted into the air and opened his eyes to find that the dragon was flying off with him. After several hours of flying the dragon reached some far off  snow covered mountains. The dragon landed outside a cave and put Kralak onto the ground. Kralak asked the dragon what it wanted and the dragon replied “I was visited in a dream by Bahamut and he told me I was to go rescuse you, a kobold who he had marked at birth”.

Kralak spent the next few years living with the dragon. During that time he learned that not all dragons were servants of Tiamat. There were species of dragons such as his silver friend who worshipped Bahamut. The dragon helped Kralak develop his powers and eventually Kralak learned how to control his power, which he believed was a gift from Bahamut. Following an old tradition of his former society, in which a kobold would choose a name for themselves when they came of age, he named himself Dragonfire, after his first spell he ever cast. The dragon taught Kralak about the world, and the planes beyond this one. He taught him the ways of Bahamut and Kralak was delighted to follow them, feeling he had found somewhere he truly belonged. He used his powers to protect others, sometime venturing from the mountain and protecting people he found and stopping evil where he could. He usually prefered to spend his time with the dragon, who had become his best friend. 

One night Bahamut came to Kralak in a dream. He told Kralak that he was to go to Thornvine Forest, there he was to find a magical amulet, the Dragonstone, that he would need to follow his destiny. Confused by this mysterious dream yet eager to please his god Kralak made preperations to travel. The dragon told him that Thornvine Forest was on a different plane and was effected by a magical corruption. The dragon gave him some gold from his treasure hoard and a staff, which is infused with his scales. (The staff is a regular wooden staff, no special effects. It is a small, carved staff, sized for a kobold and there are silver lines running down it, which are made from the dragon's scales). The Dragon wished him luck and said that they would meet again someday, he also told Kralak that his name is Salrathius. (I just thought that I haven't given the dragon a name).

Kralak travelled for the next few weeks and with the directions from Salrathius, eventually arrived at a small town near Thornvine Forest, the Muddy Hole. Kralak stayed here for a few weeks, investigating the forest and preparing to explore it.



That's all for my kobold's backstory. If anything is unsuitable for the campign just tell me and i'll work on it. I'm going to take the price a staff out of my 100 gold and assume the dragon gave me however much is left. Don't worry about me trying to use the dragon as a combat advantage, I won't unless it's something you want to add in. I'm fine with him just being a friend. As for my kobold's relationship with his old tribe, he dislikes them and generally dislikes chromatic dragons. There isn't really anything that would make him want to go back there, he doesn't want revenge on them though, just doesn't want to have anything to do with them. He doesn't like evil characters but won't actively try to stop them, unless they're trying to do some evil plan. He will also generally try to help people. Yay for a good kobold. I'm not sure yet where I want to take this Bahamut destiny thing yet but the amulet will do for now. I'm not really sure what I'm planning with the amulet ethier.

Think thats all I need to mention, it's late here so i'm going to go to sleep. I'll have my actual character sheet up for tommorow.

I am unsure if my dragonborn does or does not have a tail. It doesn't really matter much to me, but it does seem weird to have both tailed and tailless dragonborn.

A question about our characters, have they met eachother yet or are we all just in the same area for now?

I'm assuming that your characters have been in The Muddy Hole for at least a week while pursuing their goals.  It's a small village, so your characters have definitely met, and since your characters are some of the most interesting people in town you've probably talked a fair bit.  I'm not assuming that your characters are old adventuring companions or old acquaintances.  You can be, if you and another player would like to be.

Sorry about the delay, I'm having trouble coming up with a character I like. Seems I'm more partial to Feylocks than I thought. 

Just out of curiosity, is anyone else planning on joining who hasn't submitted a character yet? This party's looking interesting (and cold-blooded) either way.

A few notes about that. My feat Focusing Spellfury is from the Arcane Power book, as is my encounter power Tearing Claws. I've noted down what they do on the sheet. My dragonscale staff is the staff mentioned in my backstory. No special effects, just a different item name and description. I chose the prophecy birth background to represent my dragonmark and to give me access to religion as a class skill, which represents my kobold's religious upbringing and beliefs. Looking over the character sheet now I've just seen that my encounter power isn't showing up. I can't be bothered changing it now but if you want to know what it does just ask. Or if you have Arcane power it's page 29.

Hope this is all good, if I need to change anything just tell me. I'm away on a school camp for a few days this week and probably won't get back until after the planned session times. Unless I happen to get back a few hours early I won't be able to make this week.

A bit sparse a background here, I think. I'm never very good at coming up with vast amounts of character details ahead of time - the character usually evolves as I feel how they play - but I've tried to put some noteworthy points.
Ramum is relatively new to the world, and has relatively little knowledge of the customs of other races. Spending his life as part of the woods, since his beginning he's known and fought alongside various spirits of nature. He's not sure if he was created or if he grew - he's met relatively few of his own kind, and many seemed similarly unsure of their histories.

At his earliest time, Ramum knew nothing of spirits, and only of the wordly side of nature. It wasn't until one day when he felt drawn to a spot, as if the forest were commanding him to rush forth, and came upon the site of a battle between a great beast composed of shifting fur and swarms of insects and a [(horde of/mighty/few) (suitable setting-based enemy of the region)]. Under the beast's instruction, Ramum turned the tide of the battle and drove off the enemies. The beast, tied inherently to the Primal Beast, taught Ramum of the spirits of the world that maintain order among nature.

Not entirely sure which location he'd reasonably have come from in the setting, but the Wrathwood background is described as follows:
"This brooding forest has never felt the bite of an axe or the flame's hungry touch, for the woodland defends itself. One does not live in the Wrathwood without the permission of the trees; even the animals and insects sheltering beneath the boughs show deep reverence for their homeland. The Wrathwood does not welcome sentient beigns, but those who show deference to and respect for the trees are tolerated and might even be allowed to make their homes in the cool shadows cast by towering redwoods."

So Ramum has spent many of his years in service to his home, defending it from external threats. Occasionally there are whispers of other forests in danger, and beings will
Ramum has a particular skill and interest in curing and using poisons (this will take the form of the heal skill and using poisons later as it becomes possible to do so), and so was curious about the nature of Thornvine Forest. With his plant-like nature, he's not sure if the forest will reject him, but he's going to find out. And, if there's something wrong with the forest, he seeks to find a cure for it (albeit perhaps a very far-off event).

If we end up striker-heavy, I'll swap my str and con scores and multiclass shaman to get an extra healing power later. Having no defenders isn't a huge problem - done it before (2 leaders, 3 strikers, 1 controller).

Whatever you feel comfortable giving out; I know one campaign where I had a 'real' CS that the DM knew about and another one that I brought to the table, and keeping secrets can be super effective!
