And that program does indeed look very useful.  I already did some messing around with it, and while I still don't actually know how to make a map or anything it looks extremely powerful.  Could do both hex and square tiles .

It is a little puzzling how to use it though in a way that folks not participating can still tell whats going on.  Looks like the map would be a little big for screenshots.
