No, she died on the court side and her soul remains there.
Did she not pass from one side to the other to make that ethereal cut on Annie's cheek, though?

I imagine the etheric pinning merely means that none of the psychopomps can get at her.

That's true. She wasn't supposed to be able to do that though.

I suppose now Parley's going to be roped into going down into the ravine and manually retrieving the blinker, as Annie is stuck down there as long as it is...
...
Or this conflict will be resolved in a completely non-Parley way!
But surely she didn't just randomly show up, even if it seems to be so now!
...
We shall find out tomorrow (I think?)!

She's gonna lose it. She's a latent psychic as well, remember? And she just made physical contact with someone experiencing high levels of paranormal activity.

Something's gonna give.

Oh my, I bet she'll be freaked out/mindraep'd by Jeanne.

Unless Jeanne kills them all and stuff.

There really should be more Smith/Parley appearances. They're almost the best part of the comic.
Of course then I'd just tire of them and would be all THIS COMIC USED TO BE BETTER WHY DID YOU CHANGE IT.
It's the Comicer's Paradox.

Or she just gets to watch and confirm Annie amazingly handling the situation, and then suddenly provide some key piece of support to make sure things don't go awry.

On another note, you do realize these kids are messing with the protection the court has against the General TreePeen over there, right?

(whoa! I just noticed that even in his first appearance, his arm has a tremor! wow! well played.)

Not really a paradox, just a sign of an author following the first rule: "Always leave them wanting more"

I wonder if Parley always teleports somewhere near Andrew randomly.

Her teleportation probably isn't instantaneous. Perhaps she unconsciously slips into an etheric version of the real world that is much smaller. Andrew merely gives order and pulls her out. Or something like that.

Remember when she first teleported? Jones set it up by making Andrew give Parley a flower, and they ended up in Parley's bed.

She was watching a romantic film this time, and appeared right next to her crush. The only effect Andrew had on where she went was by being the subject of her desires, and the thing she thought strongly enough about to trigger it.
