When Annie goes spirit mode (or super sayian or whatever) she has a gash under her left eye from when Jeanne attacked her with a sword. The colourful representation of the magic makes it look sort of like her hair, though. I swear, sometimes the art is more of a mind screw than the plot.

Isn't that the definition of a scar? A wound that won't heal?

Scar: 1 A mark left on the skin after a surface injury or wound has healed.

It is the hard\discoloured stuff left after healing, where normal tissue does not just regenerate. Any other meanings are related to this. Annie's wound is still gaping open, last we saw it (near as I could tell).
