Too bad :/
I don't want to be stuck in another dead MMO...

Well, since apparently my account has been deleted from inactivity since last I played, and I was one of the last few left, I doubt there are many others still playing.

Not many still playing, but some of us are re-playing.

Some?
Could you be more specific?

And do you intend to keep playing?
Because I'd rather not put effort into this game, when I'll be left alone there in the end :o

I still play all the time, with Rimuk on Sarlona. I left our inactive guild and joined The Unrepentant, which uses ventrilo constantly and often has over a dozen players active at the same time (often we do big raids with nothing but guild members). Still, if anyone wants to group casually, I'm a level 14 rogue.

Even when I was playing nightly, probably only about a quarter of my playtime was with other b12ers. There are plenty of people to play with who aren't bay12.

Why not give it a try and see if you like it? If you do, you can find people to play with just by typing in chat. If you don't like it, it doesn't really matter even if other b12ers are playing.

That's another thing to consider, Mindmaker. Anyone who's been playing all this time is going to be way higher level. Your quests are going to be different. Unless you can find someone who wants to start a new character, you're probably going to end up playing on your own for a while anyway.

Even at the height of everyone playing, I think I was level 3 before I ever managed to group up with anyone. So give it a try. You'll be soloing for the first few levels anyway.

Yeah, 90% of the quests under level 3 are easily soloable even on hard, though not on elite. Heck, I cleared kobold assault solo, though that one is a pain.

Most of everything I did even up to level 6 was soloable. As you say, even on hard difficulty. This is not WoW. You don't need a tank and a healer for anything. It's built like a single player game that happens to have a multi player option.

Of course, even if things are soloable, that doesn't mean it isn't faster with a group. Take that Kobold assault. I beat it, but it took a good 15-20 minutes to kill all those kobolds.

Seems really interesting, and I like how non-paying players are not hugely disadvantaged. If I had enough Internets at home I would have played this. Dwarven Rogue, anyone?

Sounds great. Incidentally, if you need a guild, I'm in one. Not too many members right now, but almost always someone on.

Rogues are definitely good to have in a guild.

I've recently got back into this as well. The new guild houses airships look interesting. Anyhow if anyone is on Sarlona give a shout to Metalax, dwarf fighter.

I might make another attempt to get into this game...

Will do. I just rolled a wizard, and wow. At level one, they can't kill anything, but god sleep keeps EVERYTHING locked down. Thank god they didn't include Scythe's, or Wizards would be horrifically overpowered.

And yes, Guilds can get Airships.

If you haven't done it, do this quest.

Unlocks your dragonmarks. Admittedly, they aren't that great for dwarves, but the other races get some really nifty things.
