Right so we have a topic devoted to the game instead of leeching off the MMORPG topic.

For those that don't know DDO is an instanced MMO based on Dungeons and Dragons (3.5) It is currently free with restrictions, some of which are lowered if you spend 6  bucks and get some turbine points and some which require a 15$(USD) Montly fee.  You do quests that enter dungeons where you charge through killing stuff.

I haven't played this in a long time, but all the servers were full of level 5+ characters of mine.

My fav was a twinky halfling barbarian girl. Just so absurdly strong and hard to hit.

I stopped because it became really boring, having to do the same dungeons over and over and then having trouble finding team-mates for the harder dungeons.

If you guys manage a sizable party that plays often, I might go re-download it.

I've played this a bit before, on Khyber and Cannith servers though. Have a level 5 wizard, 5 rogue and 4 pally. Don't bother adding me to the list but if i can be bothered I might come on.

I think people who game on a mac are limiting their choices severely, and can't be all that serious about gaming, but I don't approve of 'discrimination'.

hey, it's not like i was given a choice. i was enjoying my windows one day when BAM, out of nowhere, my dad tells me i'm getting a new computer. couple days later a mac shows up. try to play some games i downright loved, BAMPH, windows only.

A Mac? Jeez, your dad doesn't know ANYTHING about computers, does he? My family, on the other hand, leaves all the decisions regarding technology to me, the only computer literate person by far.

they are mac fanatics. probably because it's what they use for work most of the time, and they think if i don't know macs inside and out by the time i turn 13 i'll get a horrible job.

I'm going to make a character to farm a 32-point build, to start off with, then move onto a dwarven cleric.

What's the easiest solo class, other than cleric?

On Khyber when I played I found a Fighter to be pretty easy solo, but I only got to level 4...
