woop doop just read all of this, very impressive stuff.
[6-1] - All of the following: (Check on rat,
Base+stable+depressant+reactive)
[5-0] - Check on rat
[4-0] - Wear SCIENCE!! garb
[3-0] - Find a chemical plant/lab dumpster to raid
[2-0] - Work on complete physics simulator
[1-0] - Base+stable+depressant+reactive
Anyways. World domination is a long way off, but I think we can break it down into a few stages:
Stage 1. Getting started
Stage 2. Teching up
Stage 3. Preperation
Stage 4. Domination
With every stage having sub-stages/sub-requirements
- Ensuring the necessities - of our health, premises, funds, etc
- Expanding and upgrading upon necssities - make ourselves healthier/harder to kill, get bigger/better premises, get a bigger cash inflow, etc: is as needed to keep ourselves self sufficient.
- Acquiring materials
I see it happening like this - we're in Stage 1 at the moments, so we should focus on getting on our feet; get the basics sorted out and secure, to the point that we aren't going to die for silly reasons, like forgetting to buy enough food, or a hobo breaking in and murdering us for loose change. Our immediate mid-term goal should be to get that covered. That means...
- Get a steady source of income
- Get a steady source of food and drink
- Get a steady source of
- Make sure we keep healthy
- Secure the premises
- Be in a position to deal with any trouble that comes, whilst not making any more trouble happen (though note the difference between being opportunistic and taking risks).
Ideally, these should all be as automated as possible - I propose that we work towards these basic goals for the time being, and find solutions that allow them to take care of themselves with as little micro-management as possible. (Ideas: get robots to harvest scrap for us, cultivate super-nutritious mould with biology, code something that will make us a steady fortune on the web as people download it, etc etc).
That way, we get to focus on the fun stuff!
Stage 2 involves getting the skills that we need as maxed out as possible. Whilst we will be producing bots/bacteria/whatever, it should only be enough to fulfil the sub-goals/requirements; that means, for example, making enough killbots to keep the premises safe, and make them as teched-up as necesarry, but don't make so many of them that we can take down a city (that's what stage 3 is for). Create and build only what we need in order to solve whatever problems arise during the completion of Stage 2, or make our life easier. Self-sufficiency and security should be our goal - look after number one. Stage 2 ends when we can invent both what we want and the means of making enogh of it for stage 3.
Stage 3 - so we invented lots of shiny stuff in Stage 2, but only on a small scale. What we need to do now is mass-produce it. The extent of this depends on exactly what the plan is - if we plan to take over the world by killbots, we're gonna need a helluvalotta killbots, so serious production will be needed. However, if we're making, say, meganukes - we only need a few of those. Problems, such as acquiring materials and premises, we should be able to get around by planning for them in Stage 2 and inventing the necesarry stuff. Stage 3 finishes when we have enough of whatever we need for the actual world-taking-over bit to work.
Stage 4 - push the big red button, cackle mainiacally.
So that's an idea for a basic framework - it doesn't restrict us on what we do, but gives us a focus on what (I think) we should be doing at any particular time.
