Speaking of vampires and empty temples.
My most recent adventurer became a vampire by toppling temple statues, it's handy to have a companion to wait outside so you know when the red 'blood vision' blip shows up.
Right after becoming a night creature I was dead set on barging into a necromancer tower and demanding I be taught the secrets of life and death but instead got caught up reading 'masterful' and 'passable' books on how the tower came to be.
And there were LOTS of books detailing the storing of every book, like you're so bored being practically immortal you write books about how you set a book down on a table? Yeah.
They had interesting names too; like wonderful works such as:
"The Storing of ____"
"Concerning Storage"
And my most favourite.
"Do you know Storage?"
After awhile I got bored of reading and found the tablet, learned what I came for, and promptly cut the head off the local necromancer named "Bil". 'Kept some of his masterful books too!
And after that I was pleased with what I'd became and learned so I started wandering around until my first vampire thirst kicked in, I crossed a river looking for some wildlife to suck dry and found a little pack of capybara, got down on all fours and used my inhuman speed to scramble across the ground like a spider up behind the chubbiest capybara thinking he'd be full of the most blood.. And I wasn't wrong..
I strangled the poor bugger until he passed out and started feeding on him over and over and over again.. until..
The little bugger started purring! I felt reverse violated and froze wondering if I should keep sucking it's blood.. I did and it kept purring, I was even more surprised when it woke up! I must have fed on it at least twenty times and it was still kicking. It drowsily tried to bite me and I panicked and tried to strangle it back asleep but my vampire strength suffocated the poor little guy and he died..
And thus concludes my most recent adventure.
