Ow, made me burst out laughing too. Either they are being sarcastic or are really so bored with their lives that seeing action happen is an instant "oh fuck yes!" for them.
Well they ARE a drunk - most action they're probably ever gotten was just drunken brawls and lots of vomiting. Seeing a giant beetle-person (decided to try going as a nerubian spiderlord this time) decapitated in front of them by a disgruntled ghost must have been a completely new type of experience.

In their minds (the drunks) they're probably also thinking "uhh, I've probably drank too much.. *looks in the almost empty mug*".

Drunks at least seem to be getting a lot of action in your adventurers, quite hysterical at times!

EDIT: I'm considering of creating a new world or better yet.. regen the existing one as to allow extra crafting reactions I've added plus I'm kind of tired of Dhorna being a worshipper of something, in the new world/regenned world Kothir can teach her the dance forms and whatnot and preferably have them all about peace and love, that sort of thing. There's just two main issues: A: I'm burned out. B: Need a way to have all my abilities and skills at the very max (5000) without using fort mode DFtool wizardry.

Really wish to just compose custom dance forms and music and not rely on damn civs. Similar to the way you can craft a sculpture out of bone.

I sorta imagine them looking into an empty mug and wondering what was in that sewer brew.

I only really get them when I'm starting from a hillock - quite a few of my races start there since it's the closest to having primitive huts for small villages and underground fortresses are the closest to aboveground ones. That, and also because they don't steal my kills as often as normal soldiers do - glad you find it entertaining, though.

Reminds me of an adventurer I had months earlier, during 40.xx - he actually recruited two drunks and gave them bone weapons. One of them got a bone...mace, I think? Could have been a maul, I'd have to find the post since that adventurer was pretty epic and I made a long narrative write-up about it later, but anyway - during an attack on a bandit camp, one of the drunks, a female dwarf, bashed a centaur once in the chest, then in the head, crushing the skull - this all despite her having no combat experience and the centaur having high innate skills.

(for shame missing the princess bride reference)

A movie I still oughta watch someday. ;w;
R_D.W.H.W.t.P.B's? Random_Dragon's Who Haven't Watched the Princess Bride's? I don't think they exist.

There's an alpha version (it's fairly stable, except TWBT which seems to be a bit crashy right now).

The more I read into this the more I'm thinking you should call your group 'The Drunk Army' or something of the sort and I imagine those drunk fighters saying in general to others "I like to drink and I like to fight but mostly I like to drink then fight *hic*".

And yeah, hillocks are indeed a good area to start off, easy access to weapons, gear, items and whatnot without being stuck in a dwarven fortress. Had most of my outsiders start from there. Also a new idea just struck me: if I get DF to a gen a world where there is at least one animal civ, preferable a one with body sizes around tigermen. Now that would be something fresh for me.

Ah, well, I'm waiting for the stable one as I've grown to be quite paranoid about crashes and crashing these days caused by too much early access or otherwise unfinished buggy games. *shudders* Just can't play something I know might crash at any moment, hence why I'm OCD about saving way too many times.

They...somehow...make their living as drunks.

I'm not sure about the easy access to weapons, though...I myself don't recall ever coming across an armory-type hillock like mead halls in human villages where you could easily nab some stuff incase you spawn with something stupid like a silver short sword.

Eh, sorry, I meant hillocks that have a fortress nearby. :-X

Ah, it's fine - I was thinking you may have meant starting nearby a fort and grabbing stuff from the trade depot.

For what it's worth, dfhack alpha is perfectly stable in adventurer mode, as long as you aren't using twbt, which has never been stable in adventurer mode. I've been using it since the first alpha came out, compiled a newer one than the second alpha, included my own scripts and modified versions of the ones already there, and so forth. Outside of specific things which are my own mistake--like accidentally hitting a number twice when army teleporting myself so instead of going to x800 y325 on a 17x17 world (right edge above the middle) I accidentally tell it to teleport me to x800 y3225 (which would put me a good distance across a 129x129 world, towards the middle left edge) and the game kersplodes--it doesn't crash because of dfhack itself.

That's great to know! Thanks. Though googling the alpha I found it's for 0.42.04 still. Oh well. Will, wait. :-\
