Rocs are surprisingly easy to fight. Just stay away and shoot with arrows/bolts. The one I faced was slow and simple to kill.I moved too close at one point and it broke my right arm but I shot it in the skull and took it's egg.

When I was looking through my generated genesis map's legends I noticed a group of orcs, all with the same deathdate, 1049. I checked all of them and found that they all became shogun the same year, then starved to death.

My guess is that the orcs choose to wall off their shoguns and drink green tea much like how the dorfs dump their mayors into magma while drinking alcohol.

Edit: this seemed to have happened for about 50 years. Also there seemed to be a werewolfsplosion somwhere around 1040

Okay, I decided what to do with my crippled adventurer. I would go out with a bang.

First, I gathered up 11 companions from the only village I knew.
I then headed to a labyrinth.

The minotaur managed to take down 4 of my companions, and give one a mortal wound (nervous damage), before finally taking a whip to the face.
Next, several ettins and cycli fell to my companions and our weaponry.

I then decided to visit a shrine, hoping for a dragon or a titan.
I saw a flashing yellow C, and though "Screw it, I'll die with pride" and charged in.

Two on my 6 remaining companions fell quickly.
Mostly due to the fact that there was not one, but two bronze colossi in that shrine.

I managed to fracture or chip every major part of their body, excluding some joints. They were laid on the ground, fighting only with pushing. But each push shattered bones, and eventually it was only me left with them. I rained whip strikes upon their torso and heads, but to no avail. Eventually, they managed to break my upper spine bone, which caused me to black out from pain. The next push killed me.

I've had TERRIBLE luck with adventurers lately. Nearly all of them die in their first fight (as demigods!), and those times I do well the game crashes.

Just met the Iron Badger. He survived four direct blows to the head from a silver warhammer, numerous blows to upper and lower body, evisceration and a rib through his heart before having his skull crushed between the adventurer's jaws.

I was thinking about retiring my adventurer, since I couldn't find any friends. (All the fortresses were empty.  :'( )

But I decided instead to go out with a bang. There happened to be a farmer next to me. I attempted to slash his arm off, but he ripped my skull out with his copper dagger.

Yep. Killed by Farmer Jal. (That was actually his name.)

Started an elf adventurer with points in swordsman, but ended up throwing projectiles at enemies instead. After a couple bandit camps I went to a night creature lair to kill the weaker version. I wasted most of my projectiles on it, damaging it about everywhere, including most of the internal organs save for the one hit kill ones (tore both of its cheeks, even), but in the end it finally spotted me and rushed at me. Since I haven't encountered any swordsmen, I still had only the default emergency dagger as the only real weapon, so I defended myself with it. The following battle was mostly me stabbing the creature wherever I could and him, being a large creature, knocking me backwards every time it could. Eventually it almost forced me out of its lair (the battle started at the other end), when I had a slashing opportunity on its head and sent it flying with a single slash.
I had a picture similar to Isildur cutting off Sauron's fingers in the first LotR, just, y'know, with the head instead of fingers.
Yeah, large copper daggers are awesome sometimes.

Update: went back to report the victory and ran straight into a lair. Its owner turned out to be the 'real' version of the same species of night creatures, so I had to dodge it until I could stealth and started peppering it with projectiles. I was about to run out when I hit its foot and so had to approach it to actually hit, and thus began the long kiting session. I spent... quite a bit of time hurling stuff at it and picking it back up because I was running out of it. By the end of the fight, every single body part of it was red except the trunk, it had an arrow through about every appendage, its exoskeleton was shattered, its belly was blown open and its guts were torn off, it had an arrow through its skull and finally through its heart, which was the killing blow. It still spent a few turns after that crawling towards me with incredible determination. At least it was crippled enough for me to replenish my thrown stuff. Still, was an impressive encounter.

At the moment I just made a new world

I am a female Swordsman named Hinda Ibuzangar and with my companions (who all happen to be female by chance actually) Sufol Sacathathrab (Axeman), Nemen Ihomodpuc (Bowman) and Kenom Struslotmata (Spearman). I was going to recruit a wrestler...but it turned out my team was full. :(

My merry band are going to head out in the world to seek fame and fortune! and hopefully not die too quickly! :D

I was just ambushed by a Dark Horror! It is a large skinless humanoid with wings that groans from time to time. I looked at its wounds. It was missing an eye and every part of its body had yellow wounds. It regenerated in seconds! It died pretty quickly, though.

My great superhuman-in-all-attributes-that-count swordsman had just come from slaying two dragons without a shield, when he woke up at night to find his friends gone and himself in extreme pain from bogeymen curb-stompage.
I threw my backpack at one and blew its head off, but fell unconscious and was trampled to death by what I thought would be a pushover.

Moral of the story: If you're going to savescum, make the save BEFORE you suffer a chipped bone or bruise both lungs.

I slept after killing a few bandits at night, and woke up to find their clothing littered all over the place. I'm wasting time trying to pick it all up

Same guy's trying to run away from a large band of bandits while mortally wounded (spear stab to the left lung), heavily bleeding and in extreme pain.

I killed a Giant Lion while playing as a Mountain Gnome. Lucky shot to the head with a spear.
