The great beast let out a roar and swiped at me, as well as firing globes of energy at me.

The Fallen God of the Energy Temple.



Without any other recourse, I desperately shot energy bolts at it, in an attempt to fight back. But they didn't even scratch it. My assault was only considered a mere nuisance.

However...



I did happen to push him back enough to retrieve a pearl.




A plan hatched in my head.




By swimming in front of it and dodging it's blows, I tried to lure it towards the wall of energy.





The massive energy release caused the creature to scream in pain, and it reared back towards the tunnel. However, it was still alive, and continued trying to harm me. I had to repeat this process a couple of times.





However, I soon found out that it had learned from it's former mistakes. It would not proceed further than the trap I used to injure it. But it still tried to aim his massive claws at me beyond it.

I would have to time this right.







As the creature fell, I sensed a prescence reach into my mind.

Another vision began.






A race, known as the Krotites, had built this temple to worship this fallen god. They'd honored raw power over anything else.





Unlike the spirit I'd encountered in the crystal, these people had no interest in creation. They reveled in destruction.



Their lust for power led not only to the downfall of their civilization...



But also the destruction of another.





Now... this destructive power simmered within me.

As the vision faded from my eyes, I soon realized what I had done.

I had killed a god! Me, little Naija, who until recently couldn't even harm the smallest of creatures, had killed a god! If I could even oppose gods, who could ever stand in my way to find out who I am?

In the adrenaline rush that had invigorated me during the battle, I pulled out one of the creatures claws as a trophy.






I then began my trek into the tunnel beyond.






I wouldn't discover the use of this flower until much later.




It turned out I never had to explore there after all.



I decided to write down my story for now. This tale would become far grander than I had ever expected.

I told you this update was ginormous.

You're right, it does. However, you didn't really miss anything, it only cuts off half of the last picture, which is Naija hovering in front of a Save Crystal.
