Can I watch (and maybe help a bit with the GMing)?

I'm new to DnD, so I think the easiest way for me to learn is to watch a game.

ExKirby: Sure why not.

Akigagak: Hold right there amigo! You have to name every book you'll use.
Every one. In case I don't have the book, I'm pretty dang sure I'll be able to obtain it from a store. And don't use those shortened names. Two letters is not enough for me to know what book is what.

Yes starting at lv 1.

Regarding the timing thing. Weekends are best. I'm always willing to pull an all nighter if necessary. GMT+1. I have school from 7 AM to 3 PM on working days, rest of the time completely availble.

That's why I'm going for Teleporlock. It can be built with just Players Handbook Book 1. I might chose a couple of powers from Arcane Power, for more teleports, but I can just pm you their details, when we get to them.

And yay! A game that's close to my time zone. (gmt-0)

You're not free on weekends?
I'm free on weekends all day long.

Akigagak: Now I get it! (I think) Teleporlock is either a paragon path, OR a specific build of skills and feats, right? You could have just said wizard you know. Or whatever is that you're picking, cause I'm not powergamey enough to know something as specific as builds.

It's just the time difference is inconvenient.

I made the word up. It's basically a Feypact Warlock with as many ways of teleporting as is possible.
Arcane power just means I don't have to do any multi-classing.

Backgrounds are important: Yes/No?

FAKE EDIT: @Kirby: GAMETABLE.

You are free to have any history, and goals.
From eat all cheese in the world, to kill everything that moves like a maniac.
Most DM just consider evil, and lawfull idiots, as disruptive.
I'll just insert law enforcement and too much social interaction, for killing to ever
be an ideal option, therefore a reasonable player most likely will play nice.
Authority equals asskicking, so I won't worry about you killing my villian too early. Aside from that, you're free to kill and steal, but also save damsels in need. But I admit, that I'm an inexperienced DM, and am always open to advice.

Edit: Jack_Bread: Too bad you can't join.

Ex Kirby: Up for playing npc's? And monsters for that matter?

So, everyone post their availbilities, characters(not necesarry now)
And whatnot, and we can have a test.
We need to test who can be the host. I now for sure that I can be the host, but I'm extremely laggy.

I'm unavailable from 2 to a decent way past 7 from Monday to Wednesday.  That will no longer be a thing next week or so, though.

That's GMT-5 by the way.

Also, you should consider letting in a fifth.  4e is kind of designed for five players.

Anyway, I'm making a barbarian, more in the Beowulf/Macbeth style than Conan or the like.  I don't have him yet, though.  I'll have him later tonight.

3pm for you is 2pm for me. I can make that every single day except for Wednesdays and Thursdays. Wednesdays I can make any time after 5pm, and on Thursdays I'm free from 6pm-ish.

The thing is:
The more players I have, the harder it is to make all the availbilities match.
So I'm all for it, but only if anyobody matches the time zone.

Cthulhu: Is there even a barb- Ahhhh, I failed to recognize that they got moved to PH2... I really fail to see why would they do that other than for profit.
And why do they even have a primal power force? Every non magical, non psionical attack should be martial.
