I finally got to play this.
I wasn't exactly prepared to play it so it was mostly roleplay. My friend's character is a 13 year old Fall evacuee who paints for a living and has psi. She also hates modern technology and is using a flat. My character is an isolate brinker who is a space pilot and is in a slitheroid.
My friend's dice are awesome. He rolled a 00 three times in a roll for a few checks.
Today, however, action's going on, as I am actually preparing for this session!

Amazon is selling the book for ~$31. I was able to get 1 day delivery at just $49.37(?).
Awesome game, awesome story, though my last 2 sessions were really tedious due to my friend whose first character hates transhuman technology and has awesome WIL in a flat with psi AND being unprepared to the setting. My book is coming tomorrow(or the day after?), so our next session will be action packed.

Anyone actually looking at running a game of this? The 3rd printing came out recently of the main book, and they release Sunward as well under the Creative Commons so you can take a look at habitats in the solar corona, as well as morphs who can live unprotected within the corona, metabolizing hydrogen ions from the solar wind into usable water within their bodies and living on sunlight.

I'd be interested as well. The system seems pretty easy to grasp.

its actually not that simple.  it looks like a straightforward skill+stat system, but it isnt.  its an important distinction during character generation that starting skill level = stat level, and you're not adding the stat like a bonus.  This is of course complicated during resleeving.

then they tell you that 40-60 is a highly skilled or professional level, leaving about a even chance of failure on an average task.  What they dont tell you but expect you to read between the lines, is that you're expected to 1, use teamwork (from a muse or another PC); 2, have complimentary knowledge skills; 3, take your time; and 4, have equipment bonuses on just about every roll.

it isnt nearly as complicated as something like gurps, but it isnt the rules-light game it toutes itself to be.
