@ Himmelhand - If I understand this concept correctly nothing in trappings is too OP (within reason) Whoever wins the die roll gets to write the outcome of the contest..
I would imagine one win.. you get to write up a minor wound, the second win, a medium level write up.. a third deadly... this is all just guessing.. as i have no real idea how the system works, nor do I have any idea about fate points... Finding out will be fun..

You have the idea, sort of.

In a combat, you write exactly what you do. Let's say you're fighting a bunch of zombie minions, and the dice pool max is 4.

Himmelhand might narrate:

"Jackson sneers at the oncoming zombie horde, kicks over an barrel full of fuel, rolls it towards the zombies, and blasts it with his shotgun causing it to explode violently."

That is a simple example. You can be much more elaborate, but remember that you can only get a number of dice equal to the dice pool max.

I would parse that narration as:

"Jackson sneers at the oncoming zombie horde (+1 die), kicks over an barrel full of fuel (+1 die), rolls it towards the zombies (+1 die), and blasts it with his shotgun causing it to explode violently (+1 die)."

So he would get 4 dice to allocate between attack and defense. Say in this instance he decides to go with 3 attack, 1 defense dice. I roll them, and he gets a 4, 5, 4 for his attack dice dealing 3 damage to the zombies and a 6 for his defense die, failing to block the 1 autodamage minions do. In this instance I would narrate:

"The barrel explodes, ripping through the zombie horde. Jackson is so pleased with his handiwork that he doesn't notice the ghoul lurking in the ventilation shaft above him. The ghoul leaps down onto Jackson, clawing his back before he manages to shake it off and kill it."

I'd record 3 damage to the horde, and Jackson would take 1 wound.

Still haven't seen characters from Silhouette or Acanthus117. I have the others up on first post. I also put a few gameplay examples up, will do more soon and a few example characters.

I hate zombies, Jock. I hate 'em.

I see no one has mentioned transportation.
I volunteer that Joe previously acquired a lightly armed transport. Anyone is welcome signing signing on to my team/crew as part of your background.

2nd image isn't showing for me. That's fine if you'd like to detail your ship. :)

Did you mean "Improvised" weapons in your character sheet? Improved weapons doesn't make a lot of sense.

Updated my first post. Once we get the last two characters we can begin. :)

I'm going to go play a game for a bit, I'll check back here later.
