Do we need to build a bed for it to count as a house? Does a house house one person per tile, or is there some other minimum number of floor tiles per person? I assume we can walk diagonally and so need to close up the corners and make squared-off houses?

I shall continue gathering wood

A bed and door act as a block, rather than a floor tile - so the other thing that changes during the construction is that a bed is built, rather than a floor.
Beds can't be placed together in the same room, unless it's a Barracks, whereas they must have at least one open space/wall between them.

1 turn = 3 blocks built.
Multi-person houses can be built (Inns), but people won't be as happy in an Inn as they would be in a house they own. You can't tax people living in Inn rooms, either.

Peoples can walk diagonally, yes. I remember seeing an Inn once where the stairs led up, and doors to bedrooms were on the left and right corners. Odd place.

Yes, that's the general point of running a village. You can tell individual people to do individual things.

Well, obviously there are no Vapiole children. You see, when one of us gets really -really- ugly, a piece of our armored hide breaks off and falls on the ground. Then all the other Vapioles gather around and smack the ground with our tails, and if we try hard enough the ugly little piece of crud turns into a brand new person!

If we don't try hard enough, it shrivels up and blows away.

Ah, working of a sweat in the morning is the best. Now that I have stones I could start building a granary or my dream house. Problem is that I won't have enough for any of them. Hmm... Maybe if I collect some more stones... But then there is the chance that I have to sleep on the ground. New problem, stone beds. I must have been crazy to choose a place with no single tree. Now I have to choose between rock floor or a stone bed. Literally between a rock and a hard place. Oh well, when the time comes, it comes. For now I gather more stone.

Are graneries one block constructions or n*n constructions where n is a natural number?

It sounded like he said it was a building. Maybe one without a bed in it? How much food will one tile of granary floor hold?
