You're not doing this for pressure, you're not doing this for conversation. You just mislynched, and you're cheerfully aiming straight ahead to hit another mislynch target!

I'm extremely curious, though, why you're making such a big deal out of a Day 1 mislynch that I was neither the swing nor hammer vote on, and how you know that Kashyyk would be another mislynch.

My mentoring may suck a little over the next couple days, since someone I know just hanged himself.  I.e., I will probably not really sleep tonight, and have been getting 5 hours of sleep over the past two nights due to being a moron.  So I may be sleep/food-deprived/otherwise not thinking clearly.  Please forgive me.  I will continue to do the best I can.

And I'm not concerned that he's not going to be here. I'm concerned that he put a vote down for the sake of putting a vote down. I don't see a "This guy needs to sweat," I see a "Whoops! Forgot to put my vote down here, better get that done." So in short, I see a scumslip.

You don't explain why the vote didn't come earlier, with the question. You had time to do it then. You had a post then. Why didn't you vote with the question?

Ah, that was in reference to the earlier comment wondering if there was a doctor or a roleblocker, when the first post clearly stated what the setup was.

And SirBayer: I did, in fact, put down a vote for the sake of putting a vote down. If you would, in fact, go read the rules, you'd see that we vote at least once every 24 hours for attendance, and then the votes are wiped. I wasn't going to be back before the vote-wipe, and wanted to vote for attendance knowing that that vote was going to be wiped well before there was any question of it turning into a lynch, and that I could change it if I did get back before the wipe.

I didn't vote with the question because I didn't have anything to go on, and I would have not voted had I thought I would be back before the vote-wipe, because I still didn't have much at all to go on. Your argument that Kashyyk is town seems to rest on me being scum and not bussing on the second day, an argument from a faulty premise. Your "scumslip" comes from either misreading or not paying attention to the rules, even though they've been pointed out to you by one of our mentors. Why are you pushing such a weak argument so hard?

I doubt the doctor would protect someone who has been acting as scummy as sirbayer - because if he's town, the mafia would probably want him around. I think you and I have been the most active players - and since I'm steadily becoming more suspicious of you as scum, I'm thinking that maybe the doctor protected me.

But ultimately, I can't know - it may very well have been the doctor targeting the same lurker as the scum, a random chance thing.

What I DO know, Rysith, is that every post you make causes me to feel more sure that you are scum. You sound... too collected, too calm, too passive at the same time. As if every post you make, you go over and carefully review, to insure it "sounds right" rather than spending time pushing people. If you made some posts aggresively, some real attacks, I mgiht be more forgiving - I understand your short on time, so you should be spending less time explaining yourself and worrying about how you look and more time digging into people.

The fact is, there's no way you know Kashykk is confirmed town, unless you doc protected him last night. Which I doubt. So your sureness that he is town marks you as the only one to know... scum.

So your basing your whole argument that Rysith is scum on the fact if he is scum he wouldn't bus Kashyyk day two and Kashyyk is town because Rysith is targeting him and can't be scum because you don't bus scum day to. Sounds a little circular.

What I DO know, Rysith

I'm glad someone else thinks that too and it's not just my paranoia, I wouldn't be surprised if the day one buddying followed by this outburst is just the two of them working together to create an 'obviously can't both be scum feel', but it's just a gut feeling and so I've not brought it up so far. That said GlyphGryph your posting style is very similar to his in my opinion.

Due to how my online time means I seem to miss 8+ hours before a day ends/count is reset and 8+ hours after a new one starts your post regarding SirBayer's buddying felt like it was a long time back compared to what it was. I retract my complaint you didn't keep pushing it.

So what you're telling me instead is that you don't take voting seriously when it's just the mock-vote - that it's okay to slap down a vote and leave it there for no reason because it isn't like it makes a difference.

So what, the mentors aren't making the right point? Taking a vote at any point during a Mafia game as not meaning something is retarded. If this is what's being encouraged, I am strongly disappointed. The mock vote is still a vote. When the reset is done, you simply need to vote again. So when you vote once, you should vote exactly as you would if it were a real vote!

You didn't have anything to go on? When you have nothing to go on, you vote for pressure and you push people! It's what being a townie is all about! Not that apparently you'd know, since you fairly clearly aren't.

Let me repeat this again to those who refuse to listen to me: Kashyyk has NOTHING to do with this. The victim of any mislynch has nothing to do with this. Dropping a vote casually at any point, even a mock vote, while pretending it is meaningless has everything to do with it.

I'm pointing this last paragraph at GlyphGryph and Shades, who seem to be unwilling to listen to a goddamn thing I'm saying. I don't care about Kashyyk, I don't care about anybody else, I care about the scum who is directly in my sights.
