This adds onto what I was saying, about how he's being both uncharacteristically pushy and almost frantic (so it seems to me). I'm also feeling his scumminess, though I'm less experienced than Red here at detecting it. SirBayer has my vote again.
Unvote
Three strikes, you're out, Jokerman. I still feel like Shades is scummy, but I'd much rather be going for someone that's actually being scummy rather than doing things that make my scum-sensors go off.

So, my good scum, you've been told many times not to buddy. You've nevertheless buddied three times and advanced exactly one original argument (your very early, very weak argument against SirBayer). You haven't, through the course of the day, added anything at all to that argument, despite several opportunities. Your willingness to jump off Shades is another point against you, and your limp pushing of SirBayer is another.

Really, people, go back and read his posts. He has not pushed SirBayer at all, has not pointed to more behavior fitting his original accusation, has not drawn in more evidence to support his accusation, and has been voting with "I agree with what I said earlier or this other person" since he jumped off his ill-advised bandwagon on Shades. He's scum.

You aren't sure if Bayer is scum? Then you definitely have a reason to extend!

errr, extensions - I'll ask for them if I honestly think I'll make use of the time, but honestly I find the night breaks a bit rejuvenating - one person lynched, scum or town, means I get to narrow, one person killed means more info on scum and one less target. If someone's acting scummy but I'm not sure they're scum, I'd rather lynch them and find out rather than wasting all the town's energy day 1.

So, on Jokerman - is this your first game? How much mafia experience do you have?

3rd extension heard.  Day extended to Friday (sidenote, I just realized it's not the start of the weekend :P)

Votes after the original deadline have been wiped.  Votes after 10pm count for the new vote count.

Current Vote Count (since 10pm Thursday):
Jokerman-EXE[2]: Rysith (Buddying and being one-note), GlyphGryph (doesn't like ties {note, based on day almost ending})

RedWarrior0[1]: SirBayer (soft-balling, fear of consequences)

Eduren[0]:
Org[0]:
SirBayer[0]:
Archangel[0]:
Rysith[0]:
GlyphGryph[0]:
Kashyyk[0]:
Shades[0]:

Not Voting: Jokerman-EXE, RedWarrior0, Eduren, Org, Archangel, Kashyyk, Shades

Deadline to vote and for the end of day: Friday, 10pm EST

Note that the prod against Glyph has been removed.  Shades still has 4 hours.

To be deadset honest, the reasons for your voting have been strong enough at this point to satisfy anyone so just keep doing what you're doing.  The scumhunting here is rivaling just about every other game currently running, and most that have already ended.  Just be careful of getting worn out (Glyph's 'rejuvenated at night' comment sounds VERY silly but is actually very true...no I don't get why a fake town needs a fake night to fake sleep or else feel REALLY tired but there it is)

No, that's not saying don't extend anymore.. just make sure you aren't feeling worn out.  If it's starting to get hard to keep posting then that's the warning sign.

Yes, this is my first game. I've played it once or twice in real life, but not as in-depth as this is. I'm still trying to get my bearings here.

I still feel Bayer is scum. If he isn't, you're next on my list. The two of you have both been acting scummy.

I love to slam people for this.

RedWarrior, if you think I'm scum, you'd be voting me. For being scum. But no, you're going to play the soft-ball route. Because as scum, you can't be spotted actually trying to KILL someone, oh the humanity.

First of all, I can read. Dakarian actually called the town murderous. Second, I mangled that sentence. I think that you're scum if Joker isn't and vice versa. I'm no longer sure which of you it is, though.

@web: didn't notice that.

Re-vote Jokerman.

You have yet to respond to this
The goal is not to lynch somebody, the goal is to find scum. If you are concerned with the possibility of pushing a lynch, then you will be passing up those that look most suspicious in favor of easy lynches.

I think that you are pushing Bayer exactly because you know him well. You know he won't hold up to repetitive attacks, and you know that it is a matter of time before he flips out.

...okay, so I missed that post 12 hours before that other one. I don't... know how that happened.

SirBayer how can you miss a day 1 post? If it was late in the game I could understand but there aren't that many posts, are you not reading and re-reading the thread looking for slip ups? If not why not? The only people that don't need to be looking for scum are scum.

Archangel you accuse Kashyyk of both lurking and not posting any content but yet seem to be happy to do the same. Considering your only post other than the initial random vote was just a summary of kashyyks posts and an apology for not posting, why do you think your own rules shouldn't apply to you?

I do not think that these rule do not apply to me, I merely have not had enough time to post much. Kash has had chances to put in something substantial but hasn't, therefore he is more suspect than me. If I fail to add anything useful, then I am equally suspect.

Also, Kashyyk, you haven't answered my question. Who do you think is scum?

Whoa, totally missed that. My bad.

I'm not really sure how to respond here. I've given my reasons for why I'm pushing him, and the fact that I know pushing him will cause him to slip is both a coincidence and beneficial. Why would I push someone that might not reveal their scumminess when I could push someone that I believe to be scum in a way that I know will make them reveal it if they are?

Because you don't actually have a reason to push him. You do, however, know that if you can apply pressure to him you can get him to crack, and you want to use that to push through a townie lynch on day one.
If you were town, you would want to push people you don't know are scum because day one is the best day to get reactions from people, and you haven't been doing that at all. Plus, as town you would need to push them to find out if they will react scummily rather than being satisfied with the first person you picked up on.

Yes, this is my first game. I've played it once or twice in real life, but not as in-depth as this is. I'm still trying to get my bearings here.

Sure, sure. Trying to get your bearings. Why, then, have you buddied three times even though almost immediately after each time you were told not to do that? Why, then, have you put forward no new arguments of your own since the random voting phase? Why, then, have you only been wagoning on other people's suspicions of SirBayer, who you were the initial attacker of? Why, then, are you acting exactly like a scum trying to push through someone he expects to be an easy lynch?

Because you are scum. Die.

Yes, but I don't know how to push someone to reveal scumtells yet. That's what I'm here learning. I might not be pushing SirBayer as hard as people would like to see, and that's because I have no clue how I'm supposed to. However, fear of being called a lurker and getting voted while trying to observe the ways of the game prompts me to post, and then scum can pounce on me for an easy scapegoat.

And by your own logic, you're as scummy as you claim me to be. You're pressing me for the easy lynch because you know I don't know how to react, probably to save you own ass. Shades hasn't really been around to be pressed, and you can't just sit there twiddling your thumbs, because that might seem suspicious. You seem to be pouncing on me after the wave of accusations has been directed at me. While you claim to have been waiting for three strikes against me, you were fine with accusing Shades and waiting. In fact, one of your reasons for attacking me was that I wasn't pushing hard enough for Bayer, despite my accusation, and for bandwagoning.

Aren't you guilty of the same thing right here? If you really thought I was suspicious, you would have pressed/accused me sooner. In fact, unvote, because I think I just proved to myself that Rysith is acting more scummy than BayBay.

Does, uhh, does this make sense to other people? I want to be sure I'm making coherent arguments and stuff.

Questions about anything are HIGHLY suggested, including matters of game content (i.e. "Is that a scum tell?" or "Was I right in that attack?")  any question you wish to address to the Host/Mentors are to be placed in bold.

Just followin' orders, Commander.
