Hmm... am I right in thinking that the thing you really have to keep your own log clear of is your bank number?

Well, aslong as you didn't destroy all my hard earned stuff, enjoy your new cash flow!

Atleast, until I get an upgraded AV.
Nope, left your shit alone. Don't worry, I'll come back with an updated virus. Also, the login wasn't me.

Is it just me, or does this take way too long to send the confirmation e-mail?

This does sound like a lot of fun.

I nuke everything every once in a while.  You can find other places to hack from people's logs, but I'd like to keep monopolies on little known PCs to myself, so I don't want to leave "connected/uploaded/downloaded" stuff in my own log. ;)

Edit:
Does having viruses on your machine slow down your ability to upload/download/edit?

I think I've discovered rule number one:

No matter how fast you were, someone else was faster.

Mine was instantaneous... check your spam filter maybe? Also, feel free to get rid of that virus if it turns out they slow down your computer. I don't think they do, but... yeah.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Perhaps we should get a group going to exact vengeance on people who delete peoples stuff for no reason?

Viruses take up space on the harddrive. Not sure about speed though.

As for my personal log, I clean it constantly. Just ensures that anything new will be very visible, and no chance of anything popping up that someone else can use. Plus if your visiting other B12ers, they can find us through that.

I notepad-logged almost everything meaningful (ctrl-x when clearing a log the first time after logging in, sometimes a "harmless" ctrl-c when not totally blanking for one reason ot other.)

And finally have enough to upgrade my connection.

Never mind, 20 short. I thought it cost 25 less than it did, since I didn't check recently.

Also: grouping:

I won't give out my IP yet, it's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't trust others to avoid your logs if you visit mine and take more than 1/10th of a second to clear the logs after each entry with my IP in it.

It takes longer between each IP change.

(You can check soon after one, it tells you how long you have to wait for another free one. First 12, then 24 hours. Probably 12x where x is the number of IP changes you have done.)

As I said earlier, some bastard deleted Leafsnail.txt, so you won't know who I am for now.  Ah well, I have Hack Note.txt as well (for now).

I managed to start, finally. I was right, it is fun.

Any other tips besides being careful and reading manuals?

Fine.  Spam virus is spare game.

The guy who started randomly deleting files on my computer received swift and massively disproportionate revenge, however.
