It's...um, a thing. Abstract thing, hard to translate into words. Personally it's something I see in everyone here :O I know it's not just my love for aesthetics. But yeah.

Also, yeah, there is something cool about you.

Also Amperzand, the sky and sea look beautiful there. Not sunny or warm, but beautiful in the cool feeling.

Sea? Yo, that's a river.  But yeah, it's a pretty wonderful place. Glad my parents decided to live here before I was born, when houses were cheap.

The mouth of a river, right? Else I'd start wondering how the Amazon became so cold all of a sudden.

I'm pretty close to the mouth, geographically speaking, but the ocean's a good ways away.

I thought it was a Bay, really. So I spelled it as 'sea'. But you've an awesome backyard river there \o/

The view from a sidewalk below my house. Ended up super blurry for some reason.

Some of the omnipresent cargo ships at night, there were two or three more I couldn't get in frame.

The Bann is a fairly short distance from where I live, and when it floods it takes out quite a few fields on either side.

I don't think I want to see that one flood.

There seems to be a lot of flat land and stuff closer to the sea, which usually absorbs any flooding. There's a couple factors preventing it from really doing so, such as it being absurdly heavily dammed, and there being so very much water that it takes a lot more to significantly raise it, but it also rains like 290 days a year, so there's a lot of water to go around.

I might try and get some pics of the lagoon near where I live. I'm pretty sure I can trump your cargo ships, though - practically everything that doesn't go through the Suez stops in at Cape Town, as far as I know.
