I use "trimmers". "Clippers" are what my wife uses on people to make them bald. She also sometimes calls them "shears" which I snicker about every time she says it, because it sounds like she works with sheep.

*google trimmer* No, I use clippers. I tend to grow/shave in fairly irregular intervals (yeah, lazy), so I need the heavy duty stuff. It doesn't actually shave close and leaves a stubble, but that looks good on me anyway.

I do? I always thought it was kind of old-fashioned, but it's how my hair grows. It stays that way when I wake up when it's short, but it goes goddamn everywhere when it gets longer. That picture was taken at just about the optimal length.

You have no idea how many times I've heard that. That and "Hhave you ever tried swapping classes? hur hur hur" Believe it or not, that plan would fail almost instantly. I go to school with less than 500 other people. I have classes with maybe 70 of them. They all know me pretty well, and would recognize me from my brother. The only time I can remember something like that working was when I had a track meet to go to on the same day that tuition was due down at the community college. I had my brother steal my I.D. card and coat (to match the one in the picture), and had him enter all my personal info and such so that I wouldn't get dropped from my classes.

Har. That made me laugh a little. Just the fact that i go to school with seventy kids total in preschool to the eighth grade. there's only 12 in my class of 7th and 8th.

My school is the largest around for more than a hundred miles, but I know that it's largely because of all the tributary schools about. We get 9th graders from middle schools all throughout the county, generally four or five from each of the half dozen or so. In 8th grade my class only had ~80 people in it but now we're up to ~110. Now that I'm mainly a college student I only have five classes there out of the seven I could squeeze in, and most of those are with the same people. I see a much smaller school than it actually is, and that's fine by me. University is going to be strange as hell.
