I'm up for WC whenever, I do have school and live in Aus so times may not work, i'll try to join if i can though. Steam name is currently !!(PhD)Scylla Serrata!! As for that map making mentioned earlier, I'm not very good at it but i can do a little GUI triggers. I'm all for being a tester though

Did you happen to make or find a good dwarf model? Currently I am using this one:

but it has some real flaws (like it doesn't show up the pick in its "stand" animation while shows it in others.
If you could share some models like that awesome... lizardman(?) it would be really cool. Of course if you want to cooperate .

P.S. If you need an icon drawer, I could help you.

I am not an awesome artist, but I have some approved icons on Hiveworkshop and I practice quite often.

Though I have never been a big fan of real-time strats, I have always liked Blizzard's games for one reason or another. My only real complain about both Warcraft 3(especially) and StarCraft is the lack of a "pause and issue orders" feature. Why is Blizzard of all companies so behind the curve with this?! If you want to lure in the 'turn-based crowd' but do not want to go turn-based with your games then this is the sensible way to go. For all the good things I could say about WC3 and SC it all goes to Hell when I play the games and realize I am expected to be able to manage scores of units simultaneously while bashing 'hotkeys'(hoping in vain to not accidentally hit the wrong hotkey wile frantically looking up and down to/from the keyboard as swarms attack me from all angles) like some spastic.
It just doesn't make any sense. Can you imagine real life armies where soldiers were forced to act one at a time in sequence because they could not act simultaneously doing different things?!

The problem with the 'pause and issue orders' idea in an RTS is that everyone else that's playing will have to pause too. If people are out of phase in their pause cycles, the game will be endlessly paused.

Yeah, the main problem with a pause is that it's heavily oriented on Battlenet (and why I love these games ).
