NGAH.

I think my words are trying to kill me.  First I defined what I meant, and then I defined what I thought you meant.

So, in the "treatment of lesbianism," I did not mean chemical castration.  I meant "average social interactions between an arbitrary individual and an arbitrary individual with homosexual tendencies."  I specifically did not mean the "treatment" of Turing's "problem."

...But I still don't understand what you mean.  The British state sent one of the finest minds of his generation to his death by forcing him to be "treated".

"How society treats(deals with) a lesbian"
"treat well/poorly"
I'm not sure how that eluded me so long. Usually I'm on the other side of these misunderstandings.

Quick, pin down the dictionary before it gets anyone else؟

؟: (/sarcasm)

edit: Leafy-chan, don't get trapped by the equivocation. She's meaning that originally she meant "how society interacts with homosexuals" for "treatment of lesbians" and anything referring to Turing is the other sense of treatment-which is now considered offensive in this specific context.

I think that may be what the parent was trying to assert when demanding it be removed.

Er, thanks, Realmfighter.  I'm sure the mental image is a good one.

Anyway, yes.  Corrupting dictionaries.

This is transforming dictionaries from books to define words into books that limit people to the knowledge and use of accepted words

He has a point, and what the dictionary doesn't teach, the other kids will.  Other kids is how I learned what boners were, before I was old enough to fully understand what they entailed.

Other kids is how I learned about so-called "bad" words and their meaning.

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

How do you remember when you learned the "bad" words?

I only remember always knowing them...
