Pacifist gives 7 fame.

Laaaaame.

Also, I still managed to get three kills (despite getting pacifist, and despite never dealing a point of damage)

Was actually playing this just last week randomly when I was bored, and just saw this thread again.

Anyways, I don't like how the removed the keys. I liked to be able to collect them and do a bunch at once.

I always large a bunch in the big grinding groups, so I can't really do that without dying quickly. But levelling takes so much longer otherwise..

I don't like how they removed keys. Now you just get random portals to pirate and spider caves popping up...

Wow. I was just cleaning out old bookmarks and stumbled on this again. They've changed a lot since release. Sadly all my characters and unlocks have been lost but it looks vastly improved over the past year and a half.

So far as i can tell, kill stuff, do quests, and kill gods. And when you die there are some percentage based bonuses you can get for assorted things like maintaining high accuracy rates over the lifetime of your character, never killing a cube, etc. Fame gain seems to be slow. I made it to level 20 and earned a total of 40 fame over the lifetime of the character.

Holy crap, this is 2x the game it was since the last time I played it. The Nexus is an absolute zoo.

Woo, I happened to run into a RPS link to this game and became instantly hooked. After 3 days, I have got 3 chars to level 20, one of which is still alive. A Warrior with a Raventhing sword, a Dragon heavy armor, a +100 health ring and around 179 fame.

I'm scared to death everytime I get close enough to hit anything. Especially Cube Gods.

Now I'm just wondering if I should put those items in the Vault, go suicide and start my first Knight run with kickass equipment (I have a Golden Shield already in the Vault), before I unavoidably get myself killed.

Yeah, but it's only 8 slots unless you pay.

LASD: Go ahead store the equipment, and get as much fame as possible. If you get enough, you can get a white egg. <3

Wolf,
RoTMG is not a progressive MMO, it might best be described as a roguelike mmo, in the sense that there is permadeath and it's a casual game. It doesn't matter when you start.

Not a roguelike, roguelikes are random gen and rpg.

It's crazy fun, though, and yeah, doesn't matter because you have to reach the level cap to unlock most new classes, so it's crazy low, and it just got a fairly massive update, including flaming bunnies.
